[Talk-GB] Scenic or not?
Hi all, I just saw an announcement that mySociety will be mothballing some of their old projects. One of them is Scenic or not? - it's a project to gather a freely available nation-wide dataset of scenicness for the UK. http://scenic.mysociety.org/ So, well I never heard about it until now, but now it's shutting down, or at least going into read-only mode. Why do I mention it? * It provides open crowdsourced data about scenicness (ODBL licence) - hundreds of thousands of votes cast. Surely one of you might do something interesting with it? * Would you like to run ScenicOrNot yourself? asks the website. Maybe you would...? Re: [Talk-GB] Bus Depots
I’ve not read the whole thread but there was a tagging list discussion in 2010 which I found linked from http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Community_Updates/2010-09-13#Depo ts_and_Garages Ed From: Antje (OpenStreetMap) [mailto:kurias...@gmail.com] Sent: 13 February 2015 16:46 To: talk-gb@openstreetmap.org Subject: [Talk-GB] Bus Depots Back in 2008, the recommendation for tagging bus depots, according to http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Talk:Buses#Depots, was to use amenity=parking, access=private and landuse=industrial. However, I have seen other London depots use myriad other tags such as amenity=commercial and amenity=bus_station. Are there more relevant tags to this facility, or should the 2008 recommendation stand as it is?
