Assez d'accord avec Marc, sauf sur l'utilisation d'Overpass :

Car si on a une hiérarchie il faut la parcourir (>>).

Notez les trous : c'est plus continu qu'un Tour de France mais pas 
encore parfait.


La différence c'est d'utiliser systématiquement des tronçons pour les 
parties communes et non de dupliquer les relations "à plat".

[OSM-talk-fr] Caen - Arrêt du tram - bus de substitution - changement de certaines lignes

le 31 décembre 2017, à 20 h, le dernier tramway sur pneu de caen va 
quitter sa voie réservée pour 16 mois de travaux et revenir en tram sur 
rail au 1 septembre 2019

J'ai commencé à travailler sur les réseau de substitution la ligne A

réalité de la choses


Les nouvelle lignes de tramway porterons le nom de T1, T2 et T3.

La suite des travaux demain avec le réseau A Express

Au sujet de ce sujet, j'avance j'avance, doucement mais sûrement.
J'ai donc copié mon brouillon sur une nouvelle page de proposition,
j'ai traduit en anglais, mais comme je ne maîtrise pas cette langue, il
y a de fortes chances que ce ne soit pas très compréhensible …

Si des personnes veulent bien m'aider en finalisant la traduction, ce
serait bien sympa !
La prochaine étape sera de porter ce travail au niveau OSM international.

[Talk-GB] Asda petrol station data

Hi Phil,

No these are the standalone Asda petrol stations away from the
supermarkets. They bought some from e.g. Total and tend to offer a parcel
pickup service.

I've manually surveyed the Leamington spa one.

Christian est encore en train de la peaufiner, j'ai noté des faux-positifs
pour les places et les rond-points.
Mais c'est bien utile pour détecter des quartiers urbains qui ont
radicalement changé avec de nouvelles rues.

We already have validation tools in many forms for post-editing
validation and already know how difficult they are to get "right" (see
OSMOSE complaining about P+R facilities for a trivial example). I don't
quite see why there is a need to create yet another one/system.

On the other hand validation on upload is horrible from a UI and
workflow point of view (which is why JOSMs warnings get ignored so
often). IMHO preventing inadvertent mistakes to start with seems to be
far better and that can be done with consistent presets (which might
have to be localized) and editor support (see what Bryan has just done
with creating area geometries in iD).

One thing with ASDA petrol stations I would expect is that there is an
associated supermarket. 

The first two I have looked at fail the gut feeling, local knowledge
and I would be very reluctant to add them without a survey.

One for an example is on a site with a Travelodge and a Little Chef.
The Little Chefs need survey to see if it still are, that is another
project for us.

I used the steps given there to make a custom style (in Mapbox studio) for
India. Once you have the style, and want to use it in an Application, you
need to select the Appropriate Plan on MapBox. In our case, this map would
be inside an internal Enterprise Web Application, and hence we would be
purchasing an Enterprise plan.

Even upsetting a *small* number of people could be considered a problem.
If you look at this from the much-touted diversity perspective, why
should German mappers who are a majority by numbers, dictate to a small
group of mappers in Peru which tags they should be using? Why should men
who are a majority by numbers, decide which tags women should be using? Etc.

Some decisions are necessary for the project to function, and hence
taking them is important, even if the mechanisms by which they are taken
may be flawed, and suppress minorities.

But we should be careful about applying our necessarily flawed decision
making mechanisms to *too many* aspects of mapping; every time you
narrow down the envelope of "acceptable" tagging, you could be using
your superior numbers power to put someone somewhere at a disadvantage
or deprive them of a voice.

People sometimes say that every decision not taken contributes to a
vacuum that decreases the quality of mapping; but it is equally valid to
say that every decision not taken contributes to the freedom to map what
you want, how you want it.

As always, the truth is somewhere in between.

We are trying to use mapbox api to show maps for our web application. We need 
geojson data file to create a dataset in mapbox studio which contains data 
regarding the India map with country boundary.


Can you please guide us through the process of getting proper India map for our 
web application.

Just for the interest, Slovak OSM community has beta-version of public
transport routing. Example (in Slovak only):

Still it is not based on public transport relations (yet) and uses external
API for it (http://imhd.sk/ba/public-transport). The benefit is that it
also uses timetable of the public transport.
