[OSM-ja] SotM JP 18で 高速道路の定義議論をしませんか？

State of the Map Japan 2018カンファレンスの実行委員長をつとめている
三浦です。

高速道路の定義について、 これまで活発に議論され、投票や議論が
継続しています。
OpenStreetMap をよりよくするために、活発に議論いただいている
ことに、経緯を表したいと思います。

さて、こみいった議論については、オンラインのメールなど、
文字ベースの議論だけでは、コンセンサスをつくっていくことが
難しいと感じます。

論点のまとめと共有、そしてプレゼンを通じて、
より多くのかたに理解してもらうこともあっていいのかな、とおもいます。

ということで、 8/11のState of the Map Japan 2018カンファレンスで
議論をしてみてはどうか、とおもいます。

御提案をいただければ、わいがやのセッションとして、
60分などの枠をとるのも大いに可能と思います。

been mapped someone is now incorrectly added fords. Many of the 
culverts are just a small pipe (sometimes as small as 20mm diameter 
and 0.5m long) with dirt over it to keep the trail dry (the trail is 
usually built up a little in the low lying area), and many of the 
bridges are only a metre long timber bridge especially those added for 
MTB.


The wiki states that bridge=* and tunnel=* should not be used on 
nodes, so I've not used them and in the past only mapped fords (many 
which have big sized gravel or stepping stones) and obviously use a 
shared node.


I've read a bunch of discussion on this topic and agree that splitting 
ways to model these is overkill as the tags on each way can get out of 
sync and get in the way, but removing the incorrect fords and not 
putting something in their place irks me. The wiki's comment about a 
ford: "You are both on the highway and in the waterway, and not 
separated logically as a stream under a bridge would be" makes 
complete sense, and I don't want shared nodes for these cases even 
though many streams are intermittent.


Finally my question, why couldn't we map a culvert as a node of a 
waterway, or a bridge as a node of a highway? The only other option I 
can think of is to add a note to a node of highway/waterway describing 
what is there so someone doesn't add a ford.


OSM rules - anything you like...
So you could map them as nodes... but other mappers could remove them. 
Edit wars.


A culvert should be on the crossing of water and a path/road.

I also have concerns that another mapper has added water crossing 
details ... base on nothing other than the presence in OSM of a crossing 
.. the details are not viewable in imagery.

no other resources that describe this structure apart from the Kerala RD
website.

Nottingham Cottage, in the grounds of Kensington Palace, is in the
news as the new home of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex (Prince Harry &

not one of these. It almost certainly needs a new tag. I  think it may be

Le premier permet de détecter quelles sont les names:xx en latin... 
chose qui me manquait pour le rendu FR.


Le second permet de ne faire la translitération que pour les noms où 
l'on a aucune version en alphabet latin dans les données OSM.



Ceci permettrait d'améliorer au moins le rendu FR.

chiadé Mapnik/CartoCSS par exemple pour faire un rendu muet côté 
serveur et des tuiles MVT pour passer les noms.
N. B. 2 : comme certains icônes sont assez nationaux (culturels) comme

N.B. 3 : si on prend une seule base, si on veut les données d'un style 
mapnik en mvt il suffit avec Tessera/TileLive de passer de mapnik: au 
protocole mvt:. Avoir les deux (au choix donc) c'est donc une ligne de 
configuration de plus côté serveur... et de l'huile de coude côté client.
N.B. 4 : si tu ne veux pas passer les infos dans toutes les langues 
mais seulement dans les langues intéressantes, tu vas aussi avoir le 
droit de faire un feuille de style par langue en MVT (mais vu le 
nombre d'endroits nommés avec seulement name, la surcharge doit être 
faible, <10 %).

C'est ce que fais le rendu allemand par translittération s'il n'y a 
pas de version allemande. Dit de mémoire, je n'ai pas le PC sur lequel 
j'avais vu les scripts postgres qui font ça.

marně přemýšlí, jak se tam dostal ten sběrný dvůr.
Trochu jsem hledal, ale vypadá to, že už to asi je opraveno.

N.B. : Christian, avec Terressa on peut avoir à la fois un rendu chiadé Mapnik/CartoCSS par exemple pour faire un rendu muet côté serveur et des tuiles MVT pour passer les noms.

N. B. 2 : comme certains icônes sont assez nationaux (culturels) comme le Bretzel allemand remplacé par la miche de pain française pour indiquer une boulangerie, il faudrait peut-être aussi ne pas rendre d'icônes sur la carte muette mais donner juste en MVT des points géolocalisés avec attributs pour rendre les POI... ou a minima des lignes pour les routes et les grandes surfaces - les surfaces qui sont importanes, pas les GMS.

N.B. 3 : si on prend une seule base, si on veut les données d'un style mapnik en mvt il suffit avec Tessera/TileLive de passer de mapnik: au protocole mvt:. Avoir les deux (au choix donc) c'est donc une ligne de configuration de plus côté serveur... et de l'huile de coude côté client.

N.B. 4 : si tu ne veux pas passer les infos dans toutes les langues mais seulement dans les langues intéressantes, tu vas aussi avoir le droit de faire un feuille de style par langue en MVT (mais vu le nombre d'endroits nommés avec seulement name, la surcharge doit être faible, <10 %).

C'est ce que fais le rendu allemand par translittération s'il n'y a pas de version allemande. Dit de mémoire, je n'ai pas le PC sur lequel j'avais vu les scripts postgres qui font ça.
