Quando c'era ancora opengeodata lo traducevo io su marcosbox.org, poi
quando ha smesso non ho più proseguito..
Se riesco do' una occhiata, ma se c'è qualcuno che da' una mano è meglio.

sarebbe anche interessante avere un “Notiziario OSM” in Italiano?!

[Talk-it] State of the Map 2016

Salve a tutti,
trovate la registrazione di tutte le sessioni, tranne i workshop che si 
tenevano nell'edificio D e nel Foyer, su Youtube (1).
Purtroppo sono singoli video per cui bisogna saltare qua e là per 
trovare gli interventi, aiutatevi perciò leggendo la scaletta del 
programma (2)


Oltre ai talk tecnici, mi hanno colpito molto gli interventi dalle 
comunità (o piuttosto dai soggetti, visto che o sono in pochi o non 
hanno risorse economiche per organizzarsi) provenienti dai paesi meno 
sviluppati come Pakistan, Niger e Mali. Ebbene, nonostante gli enormi 
problemi, queste persone mappano il loro paese e il risultato è molto 
apprezzato dalle associazioni umanitarie. Era presente una folta 
rappresentanza dell'American Red Cross che ha ribadito l'utilità di 
avere delle mappe che seppur incomplete sono a loro di grande aiuto.
Ho preso contatto con la comunità del Niger e del Mali con cui si 
potrebbero organizzare dei Mapathon coordinati da locale.


Non sono riuscito a seguire il workshop di Yohan Boniface di 
umap.openstreetmap.fr , strumento che ritengo eccezionale per far vedere 
che chiunque può personalizzare una mappa. Ha aggiornato il sistema ed 
ora ha più funzionalità. A breve dovremmo riuscire ad avere un'istanza 
italiana di umap facendo un pò d'ordine tra le risorse dei server WMF 
attualmente a disposizione alla comunità italiana.
Stiamo lavorando anche ad un sistema d'invio mail di benvenuto 
automatico ai nuovi utenti italiani. Neanche il tempo di dirlo che 
Sabas88 e Sbiribizio avevano tirato su l'installazione (ora è da 
personalizzare).


In contemporanea col workshop di umap si è svolto l'incontro tra le 
varie comunità locali; eravamo poco più di 50 persone provenienti da 
ogni parte del mondo (c'era anche Rado, un ragazzo malgascio di 
Antananarivo :-O col quale avevo parlottato la sera prima) ed abbiamo 
discusso di come rafforzare la comunità mondiale, quali strumenti di 
comunicazione adottare (IMHO OSM non ha una buona comunicazione), come 
poter entrare a far parte dei capitoli ufficiali, and so forth ...


Ah, poco prima Simon Poole ha firmato la convenzione, facendo così 
diventare la Svizzera il terzo paese con un capitolo ufficiale OSM (dopo 
l'Islanda e l'Italia).

Yup, definitely all for collaboration. Its been a massive, multi year
project with many different aspects and many people working on different
elements. There's a lot of things I'm not knowledgeable on so it's best to
get input from many folks on it.

darrera de l'organització d'un d'aquests esdeveniments? Sabeu a quin 
preu estan els espais per organitzar un congrés per 200 persones mínim a 
Barcelona?


Pot ser engrescador, però vol molta feina i estar-hi molt a sobre, 
penseu-hi seriosament abans de fer propostes com aquestes :D
