 hi Eric,

yes, i've heard of all those praise releases but there's really the
 skeptic in me.
LRT Munoz station was bannered to be finished last January, then moved to
March 25, then a few weeks later there's another praise release by GMA
minions that the line's ok from baclaran to North Avenue and yet the
station's not yet finished up to now and causing horrendous traffic even at
 12mn on a weekend

anyway, when i passed by Mindanao avenue there were many vehicles coming out
of the tunnel which is is really unusual if it's still closed. Though
Balintawak is just 5 minutes away from me (or much more during heavy traffic
of course), this link will surely decongest the balintawak tollway. Mindanao
avenue is a motorist's dream road, wide and not much traffic...unlike almost
every other road there is in the metro

I don't have immediate plans of driving/going up north so I still can't
 verify and update our map

 cheers!

Interesting... I just noticed that the link road's general alignment matches
that of Republic Avenue way to the east. http://osm.org/go/4zhWO8pr
This goes straight to the Batasan if you follow the general alignment.

I remember that in the original city plan for Quezon City, Republic Avenue
is a planned major road connecting Caloocan, Novaliches, and the Batasan
Complex. I guess the government still have the ROW for that planned road and
that's what they used for the Mindanao Ave.-NLEX link road?
