I just noticed that the link road's general alignment matches that of Republic Avenue way to the east. http://osm.org/go/4zhWO8pr This goes straight to the Batasan if you follow the general alignment. I remember that in the original city plan for Quezon City, Republic Avenue is a planned major road connecting Caloocan, Novaliches, and the Batasan Complex. I guess the government still have the ROW for that planned road and that's what they used for the Mindanao Ave.-NLEX link road?
