I often put the Saint misspelling in alt_name, since the etymology isn't always clear to people searching the map. Unfortunately, that still leaves an ambiguous name for text-to-speech. Too bad there isn't software support for name:pronunciation or name:ipa. Also explains why a vast majority of cycleways, particularly in the areas that taginfo suggests have migrated, aren't rendering on the cyclemap layer.
