Bryce here is a better shot of all the tools https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/File:Dero_tool_view.png. The import page updated automatically. Thanks for sharing your mapping project. [Talk-us] Last minute mappy hour announcement
Sorry folks, this crept up on me (again!) But I did create the Mappy Hour event for tonight on Google+: https://plus.google.com/u/0/events/cnhm9h5pdsmo77jqkqcpv8d37ls I won't be able to make it myself tonight, and I expect to make a comeback in 2 weeks with hopefully a special theme or even a guest..! Let me know if you have suggestions or requests for the latter. Martijn ___ Talk-us mailing list Talk-us@openstreetmap.org https://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/talk-us

I believe you are adding the ref from your data based on the dropbox file that you provided. > > How accurate was the pin? Good enough to find the station? Are there more > nearby? The photos are up https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Import/Dero_Bike_Repair. The accuracy is good enough to find the station. I did not try to GPS the station because of the building reflections. I did not look at the picture before adding the node. Perhaps the node could move to the west. ASU installed the station by a walkway into the parking garage. The station is near bike racks. The irony is that there are two gas station grade air hoses on the other side of the wall. ;-) > > The charging tag needs work: what style of charger? Is the charging free? As far as all the tagging questions, I added the tags based on reading the wiki and my initial confusion over the import process. It is all open source. Do what you will with the node and wiki page. Classically: "If broken, then you get to keep both pieces." Regards, Greg ___ Talk-us mailing list Talk-us@openstreetmap.org https://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/talk-us

In my book, all I am doing in this case is unstacking duplicate nodes as if the Keepright map pointed these out. Perhaps I'll read the last two wiki pages. What you quote is new to me. The wiki pages also say that I should fill in our dry river beds with some sort of water tag so we paint pretty blue tiles like Google and other maps do. http://www.openstreetmap.org/#map=16/33.4185/-112.0503 The problem with that idea is that the blue tiles would obscure the recreational opportunities that the canals and river beds afford my area. Had my local knowledge been available during World War II, then the German UBoat prisoners might have had a different plan than floating down the Salt River to the Pacific Ocean. http://brazilbrazil.com/powcamp.html ;-) > There are renderers in existence that will display both the house number and > the name of a restaurant with food icon. This is the only render system that I know http://www.openstreetmap.org/. It does not do what you say.
