Re: [Talk-us] Talk-us Digest, Vol 108, Issue 10

2016-11-14 Thread Georg Verweyen
Hello,

did you discuss this on on the list impo...@openstreetmap.org
 ?

I checked the csv data:
there isn’t any geo coordinates
the column "Adress Line 1" has value of addr:housenumber and addr:street
the column „Main Phone“ has the wrong format (xxx) xxx- instead
+1-xxx-xxx-
the column „Sunday hours“ to „Saturday hours“ has also a wrong format (must be
changed to 24h format)
the column „Sunday hours“ to „Saturday hours“ must be calculated to one key
„opening_hours“.
A short search(*) for „lancastergeneralhealth.org
“ shows only a building with this URL
(https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/18231
). This object is part of the list
(okay: you must change the street name to "West 2nd Avenue“) to find this with
Nominatim. But see three object with the same address (line 55, 58, 60 with 52
Peters Road in 175543 Lititz). Can’t find these address in Lititz :( .

It would certainly be enough to point a human to the right spot on the
map where they could then verify whether the object in question is
already on OSM (in which case they might choose to just add some of the
extra data you have), or whether it needs to be newly created.

Note that the "advertising slogan" you have included in your data is not
suitable for OSM and must be omitted.

If you want you can look for ways to boil this down to verifiable facts
(e.g. where it says "Has served families since 1976" you could put
"start_date=1976",or where the text includes information about what the
practice specializes in, this could lead to a "healthcare:speciality"
tag as documented in http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Key:healthcare)
but somethink like "fast, friendly, convenient" or "small enough for X
yet large enough for Y" is not something that can be put in OSM.

Best
Frederik

Thanks for the info! Yes, I did see the import guidelines (which led me to
emailing this group).

Would lat/long suffice for the location info (in addition to the address)?

Thanks,
Justin

Justin,
I'm guessing you have looked at the import guidelines [1], but if you
haven't, you can find them on the wiki. The import guidelines talk about
community involvement, licensing, documentation and the actual import. For
community involvement, you might want to join us on the US Slack import
channel [2].

When you document the process, please specify how you plan to determine the
location. If you do plan on using a geocoder, it's important to use one
that won't cause a licensing issue.

Best,
Clifford

[Talk-us] Bulk import for large healthcare system in central PA

2016-11-14 Thread Justin Mosebach
Hello,

We're working with Lancaster General Health which has 105 physical
locations (not doctors, etc) in Lancaster and Chester counties in
Pennsylvania.

I have updated data for all of the locations directly from them, which I've
attached to this email as a CSV. This data includes the names, addresses,
phone numbers, URLs, hours, and even descriptions of each location.

I've never done a bulk import with OSM before, but am excited to learn.

Can someone let me know what the next step is?

Thanks!
