Memories of John
I got this album a few weeks ago and am really enjoying it. It really clicked on the third or fourth listen. To me the mark of a good album is that is doesn't hit you over the head right away but its subtleties creep up on you over time. Plenty of Tater on there and there's some licks and stuff I never heard from the man. Hey Mike...that does not sound like the Gil on Homer the Roamer? Is I right? Three Forks of Sandy is on my short list; Matt Combs does a great job of imitating Hartford imitating Ed Haley. Love the mandolin break too! The closing track is Hartford pure drop :) I wish Greyfox would hire you guys! -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups Taterbugmando group. Re: Memories of John
Good to read a review of this. Amongst other things, to not forget to get it. I somehow had the idea it was on preorder or something... Question: what Ed Haley tunes do you all like to do on the mando? Robin 2010/4/17, 14strings perrypale...@gmail.com: I got this album a few weeks ago and am really enjoying it.
