with these comments:
...
PAT Anyway, my first question is: which beta version should I use,
PAT and submit reports/comments about? I've currently got 1.53t
PAT going. Should I use 1.54 instead?

Welcome Paul. :-)

The latest beta is v1.54/b15. If you'll be regularly trying new beta's
you can take note of where beta's are normally uploaded and go fetch
them as you need. The latest beta may be downloaded here:

ftp://www.ritlabs.com/pub/the_bat/beta/tb154b15.rar

The ftp directory sited in the above URL is where betas are uploaded
and a few of the earlier betas are still available there in case you
need to role back because of a bug that seriously gets in your way.

Hello Alexander,

JK Will do, but this is no bug solution.

 This is _not_ bug-solution, but - bug-hunting :-)... I can't
reproduce attachment was lost (I _test_ it with b14:-) )

Deactivating Bind attachments only while sending out mail works as a
workaround.
Hope this bug will be fixed very soon.

DSU It doesn't get marked on screen, but CTRL-C works as it is marked :-)
DSU And when you returns (aftre CTRL-V in somewhere) it appears marked.
One click on from address (it stays unmarked), then switch on another program, then
switch back
to TB! - it is (becomes) marked.

The Bat! - bug report

2001-12-05 Thread Paul A. Thiessen

Hello The Bat! developers,

  I'm using The Bat! Version 1.54 Beta/15
  Serial Number FCADE557
  under Windows 98 4.10 Build 67766446 A
and would like to report a bug

  The bug description:

Folder message totals are not updated when a message is moved out of the
folder with a key-bound manual filter.

  Steps to reproduce the bug:

I have a nuke manual rule/filter that 1) moves a message to the Trash, 2)
marks it read, and 3) deletes it from the server. I have bound this rule to
a particular hot key (alt+D).

When I activate this rule, the filter actions perform their jobs correctly,
but the message count for the folder the message was in originally does not
get updated (decremented by one) until I select another folder in the folder
tree, and then re-select the original folder. The message count for the
folder's parent folder(s), up to and including the account total, are also
off until the original folder is re-selected.

Also, I get a system beep when I activate this hot key - is this
intentional, or does it indicate that TB thinks something went wrong? It's
sort of annoying to have my computer beeping at me a lot if I nuke several
messages this way...

Regards,
  Paul A. Thiessen

cascading inbox filters between accounts?

2001-12-05 Thread Paul A. Thiessen

Hi! I notice that when a filter in account #1 moves messages into the inbox
of account #2, that message does *not* get processed by any filters in
account #2. I have to manually re-filter the inbox of account #2 to
process these moved messages. It would be nice to be able to do this
automatically...

Someone in TBUDL seemed to think this was mentioned as an upcoming beta
feature, but I've tried it in 1.53t and 1.54 14/15, and none of them do it.

It is, by using Local delivery (Network Administration options)

Oh *yes*, that would be excellent. Perhaps a flag next to the folder

The same can be done for parking as well, surely? :)
