account settings disappear
Hello there, After I upgraded to Beta3, I created some new accounts. Everything was fine :). But after a restart of The Bat!, the accounts were still there, only all the information in the Transport section of account properties was overwritten by that in the general part (so the smtp and mail server both had been set to the part after @ in the from address part, the username became the part before @. The password field was empty. I tried again, same result. On file level I noticed some different between old (before) and new (after the upgrade) accounts. I saw that for the new account the folder C:\Program Files\The Bat!\MAIL\%account name%\ACCOUNT.CFG was created, but there is nothing in there. Further, compared to the old accounts, the new one was missing the files ACCOUNT.CFG and ACCOUNT.FLX Any ideas? -- marco Using The Bat! 1.63 Beta/3 on Windows 2000 Current beta is 1.62b17 | Using TBBETA information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

Hello Stefan. At 12:57 AM on Wednesday, January 15, 2003 you [ST] wrote the following about 'address autoview lookup doesn't work': JR See above. Maybe it's not JR finished? Whatever JR value you put in you get back unless I'm missing JR some setting or other. ??? ST Works for me... :-) This is good news. Tell me what happens when you take the following steps. Maybe I'm doing something wrong. ctrlshfto brings up the address viewer Address viewer pops up has your address my address I can edit these addresses or add a memo, etc. by clicking left icon [edit address entry] I blank the dialogue space enter a third name, ex: marck I click right icon lookup Address viewer returns Name marck E-mail marck What does that mean? I would hope it would look up Marck present me w his address, etc. That would be really cool extremely useful. So what am I doing wrong? Thanks, Stefan. -- Jan Rifkinson Ridgefield, CT USA TB! Re: Fwd: Same headers in Forward Reply, is this a bug?
Good [morning|afternoon|day|evening|night] Miguel, MAU I am not familiar with RFCs but common sense (at least my common MAU sense) tells me that the forwarded message should not include an MAU In-Reply-To header. A forward is *not* a reply. Well, this is done by intention - in order to make it possible to put forwarded in the same thread. This is useful for support desks - you see what the message was processed in one way or another... -- Best regards, Stefanmailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] ...Nothing ever gets built on schedule or within budget.
