It's not messages with colour groups, but folders with colour groups
that appear as a new tab.

you know, since I use the mail ticker to read mail ( new mail only) and
only use the search function to hunt for other messages, I couldn't tell
you if I have lost any messages... my inboxes have hundreds of messages
in them that filters didn't move, and I haven't deleted (yet). I do know
my backup size is growing, so it must be adding new messages, but how
would I know if one was deleted without knowing which account to look in?

Searches, Colour Groups, and Virtual Folders

2004-04-15 Thread Dierk Haasis
Hello TBBETA Members!

  Something's not right here.

I have two CGs and, purely for testing purposes, randomly chose
messages to assign for them. Then I searched for them with the only
criterion being the CG; the respective messages were found.

I clicked on "Virtual Folder" to sort them into two different VFs.
To my astonishment I found almost all messages I have archived
within TB in both folders, but none was colour coded.

  Huh?

Nice one.

Actually, I just tried to set some of my messages to colour groups
defined long ago - and I don't get tabs for CGs. And I'd like them
very much.

Losing mail?!

2004-04-15 Thread Dierk Haasis
Hello TBBETA Members!

Lately I experienced something strange: I was dead sure to have a
few messages in my Inbox; they were only needed for a few days or
weeks, nothing that warrants a folder of its own.

Interestingly I seem to have lost those messages, they are not even
in the Trash bin. The Inbox is set to compress but not delete old
messages and doesn't have any limit (size or time) for holding
  messages.

The only thing having changed was the installed version of TB - in
both cases of losing messages I replaced one beta with its successor
  (like today with RC/!).

  Anybody experiencing such problem?
