Re: 3.0.9.7: Test 1 on VFs for 9Val

2005-03-19 Thread MAU
Hello MAU,

The idea of these VFs is to easily keep track of each different query.
The VFs filter on the number (Query ID) automatically assigned when the
issue is opened and which appears as part of the Subject in all
correspondence about it. Using these separate VFs also allows me to
assign Colours to them to indicate the status of the issue. The number
of these VFs is variable because I create one for each new issue and
delete it when the it is definitively closed and the messages archived.

I have given all these details because I know that some times people ask
about possible uses for VFs. Well here is one :)

I thought the attached screen capture may help to better understand what
I describe.

Hi TB Beta list members,

I have observed that, even with a group of messages selected in a
folder, you cannot mark all or re-filter folder contents unless one of
the messages is in the preview / has the focus.

Re: filtering email with IMAP-account not working

2005-03-19 Thread Gleason Pace

whyisthatfilteringemailwithIMAP-accountisnotworking?
It'sjustanordinaryfilter,butnomatterwhat:itwon'twork.

I can confirm that here too. Also I created a new folder for
mailing list messages that did not get created on the server.
My extensive imap folder hierarchy does not get loaded when
TB first starts until I open and close the "Manage Imap Folders"
window. Many of those chooser windows open with the selections
reversed. Manage Imap folders opens with the subscribed folders
marked unsubscribed and vice versa.

Lots of other little things. This is an alpha after all. It looks to
me like Rit broke a lot of things in the process of trying to fix
the task manager. The task manager is a lot better, but still
has some problems.

3.0.9.7: My most annoying bugs!

2005-03-19 Thread Peter Fjelsten
Hello beta testers.

I hate the fact that none of my keyboard shortcuts work: please fix
this one immediately. TB! is mainly for power users (whatever that is)
and we probably use the keyboard a lot.

The sorting on date is somehow reversed as compared to before. Is this
by design (and should I fix my View Modes) or a bug? If the latter,
please fix ASAP as it is highly annoying.

 Lesser stuff:

The Colour Group and Fonts does not seem to like my previous setting
where the font was specified at 11 pt. Can be fixed, though.

I have not messed with any of the new stuff yet, as it is hard for me
to use TB! when the two bugs mentioned above are present.

2005-03-19 Thread MAU
Hello Peter,

As can be seen from my sig, I am running the latest release version,
but I would like to try out the current (pre-)betas.

Be advised that this new 3.0.9.x series includes a new UI design to
allow customisation and it is still _not_ completed and you may expect
quite a number of bugs. That's why they are _pre-betas_.

I suppose it is not enough just to download tbb30907.rar and install
  it?

Yes, just copy everything that is in the *.rar file to your TB
directory.

Hello Peter,

Have you done any reading at all of what's been written and reported on
this list since this 3.0.9.x started? Maybe you should.

It is not a bug, this is due to the new UI which is still under
development. But who knows, maybe when Ritlabs finds out that _you_, Mr.
Peter Fjelsten need this immediately... :-)

The sorting on date is somehow reversed as compared to before.

yes, it is. And don't take my word for it but I think it will stay that
way.
