It looks like some tedious work ahead. I would probably do a registry

Do you recall which version of TB! created the backup?

IMAP - Testing synchronization

2006-02-07 Thread Stuart Cuddy
Hello tbbeta,

Now that the latest version of TB is not producing duplicates like
it was while using synchronization, can those of you not using sync
give it a try and let us know if there are still issues that others
  are not seeing.

Cutis, I know you specifically have not been using sync and I am
wondering if the reasons for not using it have now been resolved. I
specifically speaking about your high speed connection as dial -up
has its own issues in this regard.

Can you also confirm the poor folder counts and odd filtering
  results are still issues.

Hello tbbeta,

  Does Account/Properties/Mail Management/IMAP Finetune/Auto-filtering
do anything? It seems to filter messages regardless whether its
checked or not. Or is it meant to do something else?

Hello Paul,

Every time it backspaces over the last word typed on a line or goes
to the beginning of the line when only spaces or tabs are in front
of it. It behaves normally when used from the Utilities Menu.
 Confirmations?

Let's see, inserted via keyboard: This is a QT line

Inserted via menu: This is a QT line

Hmmm, seems to work fine here.

Sorry.

How to download betas?

2006-02-07 Thread Barry
Hi

I thought I was registered but when I try to log in I get Access Denied,
but I can then request login/password details based on my user name or
email and I get an email which allows me to change my password.

But I still can't log in.

Admittedly its a long time (in excess of a year) since I last visited beta
downloads. Can anyone suggest where I've gone wrong?

No newlines after %QUOTES

2006-02-07 Thread Martin Schuster
Hello tbbeta,

I don't know if its a bug, could not find anything on the list, and I
am stuck. I have template to insert quotes only if quotes exists, its
called qp:

---
%IF:%QUOTES'':'On %ODATESHORT you wrote:

':''%-
---

This template is included in some of my personal templates I use for
new mails but also for replies, thus the conditional quotes template:

---
Hello %TOFNAME,

%CURSOR

Cheers,
%FROMFNAME

%QINCLUDE=qp%-
%QINCLUDE=signature%-
---

However, if qp is inserted, even though there are two newlines after
the %QUOTES macro, the signature is put directly after the quotes:

---

Hello Michael,

| --- cursor

Cheers,
Martin

 Hi Martin
 How are you?
 Cheers,
 Michael This is wrong
[My Signature]There should be 2 newlines
[My Signature]

Anyone knows why this is so?
Thanks a lot!

My problem has been with performance. Setting synchronisation
increases bandwidth used for automated processes. As a result, actual
reading of messages can be a problem.

I'll try the synchronising to see if this is still a problem.

Can you also confirm the poor folder counts and odd filtering
   results are still issues.

I do very little filtering. Since there are problems with colouring
that go beyond just filtering and filter actions.

I'm now having minimal problems with folder counts. Sometimes the count
says that there's still a message in the folder and there really isn't.
Usually the count rights itself in a minute or so.

Hello Roelof,

I hoped you would answer ;-)

Since what version do you encounter this problem?

I just wrote this QTemplate some hours ago, so I can't tell (I don't
collect previous version for a quick check downwards, like MAU does :)

What are the effects when you delete a few instances of %-?

When I delete the %- I get an extra newline for the quotes macro if no
quotes exist. However, because of this additional newline the
signature now is on its own line, but still I can't get no additional
newlines between the quotes and the signature (would like to have some
space there):

Rename your RootCA.ABD file in the MAIL directory to e.g. RootCA.AB,

TB! will generate new RootCA.ABD and it will solve your problem.
