It's easy to disable it. And that's what I plan to do, and re-test,
but I need a little time for that.

I'll report back here what happens, after I do the test.

However, I don't really expect the culprit to be Outpost, since Stuart
Hemming isn't using Outpost and he partially has the same problems
with v. 3.81.04 that I do.

Made no difference.

Also, disabling my AV app, NOD32 made no difference.

Will have to look further to pin this problem down.

Maybe it will simply get fixed serendipitously in the next beta.

3.81.03 - AV at the first search in the AB

2006-06-23 Thread Alexander S. Kunz
Hello everyone,

when I start TB, open the address book and start a search (with the
search toolbar), the first search gives me an AV:

---
The Bat!
---
Access violation at address 00AF31CB in module 'thebat.exe'. Write of address
.
---
OK
---

Subsequent searches work. Closing TB, restarting it, trying it again, I
can reproduce the AV every time.

Any confirmations?

starting yesterday (out of nowhere as I didn't changed anything) my

Changing the 'Use exact counter' setting leads to much more usable
