This posting violated the list rules regarding top posting.

Top posting, i.e., typing all your reply text at the top of your
message and following it with all quoted text below, is not
encouraged and we actually request that you not do so on this list
because

a) It makes it difficult to glean context from what you typed at the
   top of the message

and

b) It encourages excessive quoting.

We would much prefer if you quote just that much of the message to
which you're replying, so we know what it is you're referring to,
and then below the quotation, type your response. If you're
responding to more than one part of the original, then quote each
part separately and follow each part with your response.

Now, I know that you may not personally prefer this format and that
you may disagree with some of the reasoning here. We very much
respect this. However, this is the format that most of the active
members here prefer and all members are expected, and are being
asked to use the format that will make most of the active membership
here comfortable reading. You'll likely get a more responsive group
when you post using a style that is comfortable for them to read and
understand.

3.95.08

2007-01-15 Thread Maxim Masiutin
Hello, 3.95.08 is available at
http://www.ritlabs.com/download/files3/the_bat/beta/tbb39508.rar

[-] When displaying a list of old accounts (copied to a new machine from
previous installation of The Bat!), the splash screen was over the list.
[-] CR CR LF line endings were treated wrong
[-] View/Display/Advanced filtering couldn't be canceled by Esc (or Ctrl+=)
[-] Fixed a deadlock when a modal dialog box (like TLS certificate error) was
over the other modal dialog like Unregistered.
[-] Sorting of messages POP3 dispatcher by address fields was invalid for
messages which contain a pure e-mail address without the name associated with
this address
[-] Message dispatcher displayed only the firs addressee if a message was
addressed to a list
[+] The Bat! now supports Address space layout randomization (ASLR) under
Windows Vista, please see
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Address_space_layout_randomization for more
information.
[-] There were a memory/resource leak in IMAP
[-] The original message base file was deleted during the repair operation.
[+] The Bat! is now Restart-Manager-aware under Windows Vista. Restart Manager
reduces the number of reboots required after updates and installations of
applications dynamically, by temporarily stopping and restarting affected
applications.
[-] IPV6 didn't work under Windows 2000.
[*] The Bat! during MAPI connections with Exchange servers now receives meeting
request and other non-email messages to Inbox folder.

URL in HTML email

2007-01-15 Thread Stuart Cuddy
Hello tbbeta,

I have the occasion to copy and paste a URL into the Bat that needs
to be altered slightly to work. When I paste the link and make the
changes I then test the link and find that it still points to the
originally pasted URL. This only happens in an HTML email. If after
I make the changes to the URL I change the format to Microedit it
works as it should. It also works if I change it back to HTML.

To make it easier to duplicate and maybe more of an issue to normal
use try the following. Open up a new email. Change to HTML. Type a
URL in the body, but make a mistake. Now double click the URL and
you will get an error page in the web browser. Now go back and
correct the URL and double click it again. It does not recognize the
change you made. IF you switch to microed and back it will work
again. If you don't and think it was changed and send it the link
  will not work.

Can any one else recreate this?
