Re: Again: lost folders in folder-list!

2007-02-14 Thread Alto Speckhardt
Guten Tag Alexander S. Kunz,

(As always, this is seen using v3.0.1.33.)
The first thing would be to update to the most recent version IMVHO.

You know very well that I can't do that. All the later versions are
seriously crippled, as to the reasons of which there still has not
even been a statement by RIT.

If you don't want to do that for whatever reason, its of little or
no use to complain about bugs.

I want to use the features I have paid for. Coincidentally, at that
time there was a promise out to fix the bugs prevalent in those
features. The word was definitly not to just scrap them instead.

But I think we've been over this once or twice already, don't you?

Maybe you should use Virtual Folders instead and let them vanish instead
 of your real folders! ;-)

Oh, now I get it - hence the name virtual in the first place... g

Guten Tag Martin Sebald,

Well, he wrote this using Voyager 3.95.06, which seems pretty up-to-date.

No, the problem is indeed only seen with v3.0.1.33. In Voyager (current
non-beta) the virtual folders don't vanish - instead, they simply
don't work, they show no or incomplete messages. But that's a
different story for sure.

On exit. Never had one during regular work (in this beta series, that is).

MM If on exit, which of The Bat! windows have been open, e.g. account log, etc?

I opened, TB!, waited until all messages had been loaded, then quit.

Changed the way TB! closes (no longer to the system tray): did not help.

Tried it now after ending one application after another, even Nod32 and Zone
Alarm (in the end), ended all the tasks I was sure I could without risking
the system to hang: I still keep having those AV's...

Also tried to see if returning from inspector to dr. Watson would change
anything, but it didn't.

I suppose the complete log (stack dump) will not help you either?

Max, I have AV on exit, but there is nothing in ex_log.txt, last items are
from 3.96.05 build.

same here. Although I closed TB several dozens of times and repeatedly get
thesame errors I hardly ever find a valuable hint in ex_log.txt. Seems it
isn't generated necessarily on every error.

Same here. How is the log appended to? I've not pressed the 'Debug'
 button

No matter which button I hit, the ex_log.txt isn't generated in every case.
In dozens of attempts I only got the one I posted.

If you have no AVs on exit, than the ex_log.txt should be empty.

If you have AVs on exit, than you should have unempty ex_log.txt.

What I don't understand is why I once get this file and all the other times
I won't get it. The AVs aren't capable of being differentiated.

Windows Error on Exit

2007-02-14 Thread Richard Newman
Hello Bat People,

Since 3.96.5.1 I've been getting a MS Windows error 4 out of 5 times
when exiting the program. This is not the same as the AV errors
  others seem to be getting.

XP reports the following error reporting message.
   AppName: thebat.exeAppVer: 3.96.5.2ModName: kernel32.dll
   ModVer: 5.1.2600.2945 Offset: 00012a5b

Thank you! I might express it differently: As human BEINGs, we ARE
loved unconditionally but we can only experience that love fully as we
learn to love unconditionally ourselves (a tall order but nothing can
be more worthwhile, IMHO).

I just had my first crash with the newest beta 05.2 but the ex_log.txt
didn't have anything later than Feb 10 (an older beta). If I have
further crashes, I'll check that log text file again.
