After exiting and re-entering The Bat, the problem seems to have gone.
However, did you notice that the selected entries in the Address Book
remain selected if you close and then reopen it?

Problem with mass mailing using template

2009-05-13 Thread Costas Papadopoulos
When I select a few entries from an address book group in order to
send selectively an email using the Address Book menu: "File--> Mass
mailing using template", the generated emails are addressed to *all*
persons in the group instead of being addressed only to those that I
had selected. This is a change in behaviour in the program, but I
cannot say in which version the change first occurred.

Confirmed fixed.

Still broken is the use of nested %qinclude'd signature QTs. None of
my templates work anymore. I can't even find a suitable workaround.

I have added the following report to the BugTraq system.
Please see https://www.ritlabs.com/bt/view.php?id=7597 and follow the
reproduction steps (included below) to add your confirmations.

%qinclude(%ABTOPhone(xxx))

This syntax no longer works in a QINCLUDEd template macro when xxx
contains %ISSIGNATURE. The entire macro renderer stops when it hits
this line and nothing from the QT that contains it is output.

The last time this syntax worked correctly was in build 20.

This syntax still works perfectly if the QT is manually invoked rather
than used in templates for mail creation. It also works perfectly if
there is no %ISSIGNATURE in the QT.

,--/ How to reproduce this for yourself \--
Create a QT 'xxx' containing: "XXX worked correctly"

Create a QT newmsg containing: "%qinclude(%ABTOPhone(xxx))".

Modify the "New Message" template to be: "%qinclude(newmsg)"

Press Ctrl+N for a new message. The message appears with "XXX worked
correctly" as the text.

Modify the xxx QT and add %ISSIGNATURE at the top.

Press Ctrl+N for a new message. This no longer shows "XXX worked
correctly".
`--\ End /--
