Q: About Filtering IMAP
Hi, i have a question about the filtering inside TB. My problem is that i have some filters and they work only one time. As example: I Start TB and one filter start working. There are 15 new messages who should be filtered. 5 of them willbe moved as described into filter rules, the rest stay in the INBOX. If i do nothing, TB does nothing with that. I have to do a Refilter folder and after that alle messages will be sorted as i set the rules. On a testaccount on fastmail it is the same (and fastmail is one of the best imap provider i know) Thats the question: Are these filter-rules active or passive or something ? Is it possibel to get an option to rerun rules evers XXX seconds ? Are i am alone with that problem ? Account is a mailbox on my private webspace at a german webhoster. regards Current beta is 5.0.0.131 | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

Hello TBBETA Members! View Modes are still not remembered, as isn't the main window split. And emptying a universal VF still does not put the messages into the universal Trash. Bat didn't run anymore
Hallo tbbeta, My Bat died. Scared me quit a bit. Installed quite a few additional IMAP accounts today. (On two servers) And after I had copied some (3-4000) messages (this club I'm member of is switching servers and I'd take care of message moving from the old accounts to the new accounts) I decided to test whether the split mode would be saved after restarting, so I moved the border between the message list and the account tree pane to the left. Closed TB and started it again. That's to say I tried to start it, but I got this Windows thingie that told me TB wouldn't start. After OK-ing that I tried again and again. No luck. Rebooted my computer, no luck. Started TB with a different (empty) registry-set, yes, it started I switched it to my mail directory, it recognized my accounts (it missed three or four of the new imap accounts) and stopped running. So I deleted all new imap accounts from my mail directory, started TB again (with the original registry setting) a couple of new (empty) imap accounts were created, but TB ran again. Attached the exceptions.log for today and the ex_log I don't know whether it's a beta issue or not, my copy of 4.2.36.4 wouldn't run either. BTW The split mode was remembered exactly as I changed it. -- Groetjes, Roelof Moderators - I guess evryone has to get off welfare sometime http://www.voormijalleen.nl/ The Bat! 5.0.0.131 BETA Windows Vista 6.0 Build 6002 Service Pack 2 6 pop3 accounts, 1 imap account OTFE disabled Quad Core 2.4GHz 4 GB RAM thebat_Exceptions.log Description: Binary data ÿþv 5 . 0 . 0 . 1 3 1 B E T A B A S I L I S K / R o e l o f 1 9 - 1 - 2 0 1 1 1 2 : 2 5 : 4 1 . 4 4 8 I M A P _ C m p : 7 E I m a p U n e x p e c t e d S o c k e t C l o s e d N o E r r o r C o n n e c t i o n u n e x p e c t e d l y c l o s e d v 5 . 0 . 0 . 1 3 1 B E T A B A S I L I S K / R o e l o f 1 9 - 1 - 2 0 1 1 1 3 : 5 2 : 0 8 . 2 5 3 I M A P _ C m p : 7 E I m a p U n e x p e c t e d S o c k e t C l o s e d N o E r r o r C o n n e c t i o n u n e x p e c t e d l y c l o s e d v 5 . 0 . 0 . 1 3 1 B E T A B A S I L I S K / R o e l o f 1 9 - 1 - 2 0 1 1 1 4 : 2 8 : 2 6 . 9 5 4 I M A P _ C m p : 7 E I m a p U n e x p e c t e d S o c k e t C l o s e d N o E r r o r C o n n e c t i o n u n e x p e c t e d l y c l o s e d v 5 . 0 . 0 . 1 3 1 B E T A B A S I L I S K / R o e l o f 1 9 - 1 - 2 0 1 1 1 5 : 0 4 : 1 2 . 0 1 3 G U I D E F : I t e m [ m F o l d e r V i r u s C h e c k ] i s l i n k e d t o u n k n o w n p r o p e r t y [ F o l d e r V i r u s C h e c k ] v 5 . 0 . 0 . 1 3 1 B E T A B A S I L I S K / R o e l o f 1 9 - 1 - 2 0 1 1 1 5 : 0 4 : 1 2 . 0 1 3 G U I D E F : C a n n o t b i n d l a y o u t i t e m [ M s g C t l ] . Hello Maxim, Wednesday, December 1, 2010, 9:50:47 AM, you wrote: As I wrote before about Smartermail, it replies to UID STORE +FLAGS by sequence numbers rather than by UIDs as required by RFC. Please contact Smartermail developers to fix this bug ASAP. For example, on a command 00031 UID STORE 92853 +FLAGS (\Seen) the server should reply * 14 FETCH (FLAGS (\Seen) UID 92853) The server instead replies by sequence number, not by UID, which mades flag changes by UID impossible. The issues with Outlook are because it has invlaid UID errors, nothing to do with SmarterMail.
