Re: 5.0.0.140 Folder Manager reorders account tree

Hello Maxim,

Friday, February 18, 2011, 3:02:37 AM, you wrote:

The Bat! 5.0.0.140 BETA is available at
 http://www.ritlabs.com/download/files3/the_bat/a-5/tb500140.rar

 What's new in 5.0.0.140 since 5.0.0.139:
[-] Range check error when re-filtering messages
[-] Attachment related actions work only in pane mode
[*] TSpTBXProgressBar was replaced with TProgressBar
[-] Memory leaks after folder re-filter execution
[*] Cosmetic changes in account/folder properties dialogs (field layout and
 tab-order)
[*] Redesigned IMAP folder manager (Beta issue)

When I just open and close the IMAP folder manager, it reorders the
folder in the account tree to be alphabetical. It is not new but now
may be the time to look at it.

Any confirmations?

Cannot confirm.
Tried it two IMAP accounts and neither opening nor unsubscribing or
subscribing in the imap folder manager causes the folders in the
account tree to be sorted alphabetically.
In the imap folder manager itself they're sorted alphabetically, but I
don't think that that should be altered.

2011-02-18 Thread mse
Hello Marek,

well, icon indicating unresolved urls is same like icon used in main menu
for Help, this is really misleading.

 Anybody agree?

Agreed.
I think we could have one base-icon for IDM. For example a world
globe with a picture and an arrow pointing from the globe to the
picture (if there is room enough...) This icon could be used for the
menu item in Tools-menu. With unresolved links there is a little
yellow question mark added to the icon (like in the icon for check
GPG-signature) and a little green check mark when all the images for
the displayed message are downloaded. Something like that.

I was thinking of the GPG-icons here: There is a base-icon (the opened
letter) and little signs added to this icon (green check mark, blue
question mark, red cross) depending on the situation of the
GPG-signature.

Best regards,
mse

Email sorting, Threaded by

2011-02-18 Thread Martin Knauf
Hi,

I was used to have me emial grouped by From in The Bat! 4.2.x. I also sourted
the emails by Received. So the last Sender was on top of with all his email
in group.

1.)
Right now The Bat! 5.0.x is always sorting by alphabet starting with Name.

2.)
It would be great to thread emails by real emailadress and not by email sting.

Right now for A tbbeta@thebat.dutaint.com, B tbbeta@thebat.dutaint.com
and C tbbeta@thebat.dutaint.com
each email is in its' own group.
If the email were grouped by email adress all would be in one group.

What would be very nice :D

Discussion - unresolved URLs when Deny all mode selected

MM When I select Deny all, I do not want to download anything AND I do not
MM want to be notified about unresolved URLs, from my POV, there is no reason
MM to deny all requests automatically and have them listed in IDM.

MM What do You think?

I am confused as to how the whole thing is supposed to work. I guess what I
would like to see is when I select a message and click on the IDM button that
by
default I could see what links are available in the message (not in other
messages) and which ones are currently being allowed and which ones are
currently denied or neither allowed or denied.

Then I need buttons to select for those things and make rules for the future if
I wish.

Then there could be buttons to show me all the allowed, denied or neither in a
folder or an account or in alll your accounts.

As it is I'm not sure what I'm allowing or denying. Is it permanent or
temporary
for only this message. And why am I seeing all the urls for messages I don't
have selected by default.

Sorry if I haven't addressed your specific question as I say I am confused by
the whole thing.

agree, there is no need to display older unresolved URLs, if user did not
downloaded them manually or created rule, he doesn't want it, so what is
the reason to display them in list?

never mind, I have tested this again and it seems, in Deny all mode, IDM
displays only URLs for selected message, when I move to other message and
open IDM, URLs are gone. And this is OK for me.

Hello,
I have created new rule and defined Email source rule, but after restart
of The Bat! and opening IDM, rule has URL source instead.

IMAP Download Manager : changes are applied before confirmation

2011-02-18 Thread Marek Mikus
Hello,
This is really strange behaviour. I have opened IMAP Download Manager and
unsubscribed one folder. When I clicked to OK, confirmation dialog appears,
but this change was already applied and stays applied even I hit No.

Confirmed.
As soon as you press 'OK' the modification is applied no matter
whether you confirm or cancel that operation.
Goes both for supscriptions and unsubscriptions.

thanks, I hope, Stef will change this logic, because asking for applying
changes now after they are applied is nonsense ;-)
