GPG/PGP a fix is badly needed
Hello Tbbeta, Due to the poor, and I mean substandard, implemantation of GPG/PGP, I am at the stage of deciding if not to install a different mail client and use it until TheBat's encryption system is sorted. On an average day, I can input my password anything upto 40 times. I receive encrypted mail from friends, family memebers and also mailing lists. I can receive between 2 and 10 messages at a time that are encrypted and even though I set my remember password to 600 minutes, I have to input my password each and every time I know that encryption is not high on most peoples lists, but it is for me. I love usinging TheBat and as hard as I try, I am at the stage that I find I can no longer use it Sean -- GSWoT and CaCert WOT Assurer .tel http://rima.tel/ I believe that every human has a finite number of heartbeats. Hints in 5.x.y.z
Listmembers: Is it just me or are the hints in TB! rediculously large compared to regular Windows hints? In Windows 7 Home Premium, some but not all hints have rounded corners, but none of them have so much space between the text and the edge of the hint. I would like TB! hints to behave more like they conform to Windows standards: * As little space between text and edge as necessary; * Use hint-background colour, not windows background; * A thin line around the hint so they stand out more. -- Greetings, Maurice Windows 7 6.1 Build 7601 Service Pack 1 The Bat! v5.0.0.151 RC1; ; AJS v24.58172; MyMacros 1.11a; Current beta is 5.0.0.153 | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

[-] IMAP folder manager: alphabetical sorting was used instead of user-defined (Beta issue) [-] IMAP folder manager: folder tree was collapsed when switching between All/Subscribed tabs (Beta issue) Not completely fixed. I have two folders out of alphabetical order. One I've created called Forums and the other is the built-in Inbox Known. After opening the IMAP folder manager, (tree is collapsed), doing nothing and then OK. The Inbox Known gets put back into alphabetical order but the Forums folder stays where I put it. Further experimentation: If I move the Forums folder to another position (not alphabetical), then after using Folder Manager, it is put back to it's original position. The positions seem to be remembered prior to me moving the folders. -- Best regards, Tonymailto:t...@parkinch.co.uk The Bat! 5.0.0.153 RC3 Current beta is 5.0.0.153 | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

Hi Sean, On an average day, I can input my password anything upto 40 times. are you using PGP 6.58? If so, you can also use the external DLLs. With these DLLs your PGP settings are applied, so your password remains in cache - you do not have to re-enter. To change the settings in TB!: Copy these DLLs in your program folder Menu » Options » OpenPGP » Choose OpenPGP Version | (x) PGP 6/6.5 plugin http://thebat.zetema.de/download_tools.html#security http://thebat.zetema.de/zip/pgpdlls2000.zip (99KB) -- Best wishes Miroslav BAT-MAIL.DE.VU - http://bat-mail.de.vu Current beta is 5.0.0.153 | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
[v5] filters
Hello TBBETA Members! 1. The hgj.PNG shows how I tried to solve the problem of certain messages - and this really only happens with those from Rick on this list - being flagged as spam by the server [disregard the name of the filter]: I created a condition such that Rick's messages should be filtered. Guess what, they do get filtered into Junk. This is the very first filter in my list, and it is a universal one. 2. hkjh.PNG is the second filter in my list, also universal. It should filter my own Tweets rebroadcast to Google Buzz into Trash and mark them read in order to not show up in the Mail Ticker. Guess what, they do not get marked read, sometimes not even filtered to Trash. PS: Looks like the MT Browse Messages Window bug, where it is not closing upon last message deleted is gone. Every time I trashed the last message in it, the window closed automatically. -- Dierk Haasis [DH² Publishing] The Bat 5.0.0.153 RC3 on Windows XP 5.1 2600 Service Pack 2 Chat info upon request The werewolf community wants us to know that their members prefer to be called caninely challenged.
