Re: Incoming message filtering stopped working??

2013-02-12 Thread Tony Hoare
Hello Rick,

I use anti spam sniper plugin and was having a lot of false
positives. I cleared the training database which will of course
create a few more as it relearns, but the problem is solved

It's not the detection of spam because that is done on the server and
SPAM headers are set. It's just that TB! won't automatically filter
the spam into the correct folder. I have to do it manually.

BTW, it's still broken in 5.3.8 and I have to manually re-filter this
message into my TBBETA folder.

Did zou revert to last beta to make it work, or somehow the recent MSI 5.3.8
started working?

Reverted back because 5.3.8 turned out to be too dangerous:

I have a virtual folder that lists all the messages that came in the last 24
hours.

I select the abovementioned folder.
In the message list I select the messageview 'unread'.

In the folder-pane, I select the view in which only the folders that contain
unread messages.

All of a sudden, in the messageview-pane the unread messages are being read
without me intervening
or being able to stop the proces. The read messages disappear from the
list (which normally
doesn't happen unless I change the view from unread to all and then back to
unread.

But not only did these messages disappear from the unread view, they als
disappeared from the
folders in which they had been sorted by several rules.

I found them all in the trash folder; I had to sort them back to where they
came from (luckily the
rules did most of the work).

I reverted back. Perhaps I should have tried to reproduce the problem but
was too shocked to do
so.
