I use horizontal split. Attaching tb1.jpg and tb2.jpg to show what i mean. Note the blank space between the menu line (with all toolbars integrated) and the folder tree / message list / message preview. It takes 5-10 seconds to redraw that correctly and remove the blank space. Sometimes it will stay until I change the folder.
