Wikipedia has a nice explanation: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Non-breaking_space (basically, instead of using U+0020 space character, TB uses U+00A0, which prevents automatic wrapping). -- < Jernej Simončič ><><><><>< https://eternallybored.org/ > Everything breaks down. -- Orion's Law TheBat! I just tried with a message in German: Reply is fine, Forward is HTML code. I also mentioned earlier (mid:298798343.20210720175...@gmx.net) that is does not work with a message in Thai language. It does work with other messages in Thai language though. I can send the offending message and one that has no problems (neither for replying nor for forwarding) to you by PM if you like. -- Cheers, Thomas. Message reply created with The Bat! Hello, This test message is written while in TB's footer bar it is set to: Dutch+English (American)+German HTML Latin 9 (IS). After the dot of the previous sentence I pressed, as usual, ENTER for a carreage return. All of a sudden the font size had changed from Arial 14 to Arial 11. Also inserting some text by using the paste option of the right-mouse menu failed. I had to do it by the keyboard commands ctrl-C and ctrl-V. Inserting the same in Windows editor worked with the mouse menu. -- Kind regards, Gunivortus Goos The Bat! [SPAM?] 9.4.2.7
So I set this already but I'm uncertain if it went because instead of reply, I was playing with edit as new and accidently used edit as new for this which left the from as it was on the original message. Also, when I then changed the account so it was coming from me, it added a forwarded from header at the top and an end of original message footer, not something I wanted or expected though I guess one might argue it makes sense. Also further testing shows that some HTML messages work properly and some don't. Dear All, Version 9.4.2.7 is available [-] "Message | Edit as new" was quoting original text Well, it works better for text messages, but not at all for HTML messages. When I use edit as new on a HTML message it puts in all the HTML as text so it looks like this. I've only included the first few lines but a one page message is many many pages of HTML code. The text between the lines of /// was just copied from a message where I choose edit as new. Ira /// Thank you for your purchase!
