Hm. Over here, each single HTML message requires me to click on the download
icon. No rules at all.

Yup, it picked up the rules I set up before the switch to CEF.

Looks like it picked up existent rules (don't where from) that seem
quite "ancient" to me.

Anyone else observed this?

And a possibly related problem: typing an address like https://www.ritlabs.com/
makes it appear as URL in the editor, but appears to just add empty tags
around it, so it doesn't end up working.

I noticed a bug — when pasting an e-mail address like
to HTML editor, The Bat makes the address into URL,
but doesn't include the mailto: prefix, making the URL useless.

I would find that too complicated, but I don't need to use it.

All I ask for is what we had earlier: A choice of downloading images for this
message only, or for all messages from this sender.

Finally :)

Here's a wish to improve the Image download manager:
- have a tab that lists all image URLs in currently selected message, and allow
selecting URLs to download immediately, and also allow using the URL as a
template to create a rule
- when creating a rule, highlight image URLs in currently selected message
