Try Folder / Properties / Additional / On Exit

Maybe this is the problem. I have taken all tickmarks off and do the 
maintenance manually.

OK, some more info on Processing Folders starting up on its own, that may or 
may not be relevant. I use TB! remotely, it's actually on another PC on a hard 
wired LAN and I access that PC with Microsoft's Remote Desktop. If TB is 
running on the remote PC and the Remote Desktop link is closed, when the link 
is re-opened, that's when it is likely to start processing folders of its own 
accord. Very annoying as Task Manager is needed to kill it. My legacy version 
5.5.10  has no issues all and has never done this. HTH.
