I have the same problem, so i have to confirm wath Bobi said.
I have seen that if I clear the cache of a folder everything is ok until
the folder is refreshed or compressed or ...other .
I have just tried to modify avery single option of Imap account
without any good result.
Any ideas ?

Any solutions to keep the old mails (and configs) and to use this
encryption tool ??

Yes i have just tried to import some folder and TB has encrypted it
well.
But all others setting's folder are lost.
Probabily restoring also a .reg backup can help, but you have to
change again tthis key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\RIT\The
Bat!\EncryptedLayerMode to the value choosed in the new installation
of the Bat when prompted (aladdin token, password..etc).
