BTW what happened to 3.5.22?

Hehehe. Much older than I, at any rate, with v. 1.61.

But I chucked them all (with the help of Miguel's woodchuck) last

Well, uhm... I might have a slight idea ;-) I've just checked my

I don't know if I've kept every bat version I ever downloaded,
but at least I've managed to retrace the very first one. Which
is version 1.45, dating from august 2000.

Does that make me an oldbie or what?

Hi BWMarcotte,

The get mail then no focus happened again.

As usual left-clicking does not work. I attempted alt-key
combinations and those did not work.

BUT, RIGHT-CLICKING over an item would bring up the appropriate
context menu!

Also, when I right-clicked on The Bat! in the toolbar and selected
close it brought up the view mode has changed... dialog box. When I
hovered the mouse over the yes and no buttons the button the mouse
pointer was over was highlighted in the usual way.

I don't know what this means but it is more data.

I do not use Mail Dispatcher, I click on the Receive New Mail button

This is one of those intermittent bugs - the loss of focus after
getting new mail happens only one or twice a week. I have not been
able to find a procedure to reliably recreate this problem. Back in
January I was using Bayesit for anti-spam but now I am not using
Bayesit. I have had this problem occur with spam programs spambayes,
popfile, Spam Sleuth. It has also occurred with no anti-spam program
in the mix.

Not confirmed here. At least with that sequence (that differs slightly
from your sequence of window activation):

When Connection Center opens (Dispatcher already in the background
because only a few messages were found) I click on the taskbar icon of
CC, then bring Dispatcher to the front, then hit process button, both
windows disappear and TB! main window gets the focus again.

Only difference to your "sequence": the dispatcher window opened so
fast that I could only bring CC to the front when dispatcher was
already there. As far as I understand your sequence you brought CC to
the front *before* it had finished gathering the mail-headlines?

IAW> Is it possible to have focus handed back to The Bat!?

I have had a similar problem with The Bat not having focus after
downloading messages. The Bat has not frozen - if I right click on
The Bat in the taskbar and select close The Bat responds and closes
but I am unable to click on any buttons nor am I able to bring the
program to focus. The problem does not occur every time, actually it
is rather infrequent - only one or two times per week (using The Bat
once or twice per day.) I noted this problem back in January when I
was running v3.02.10.
mid: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
The above message I did not try since at the time I was running w2k on
fat32 (no permissions).
mid: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
For the message above that is when I mention the lack of focus
problem.

Now, I am running XP with an NTFS drive and thus have permissions so I
checked TheBat folder and noted it was listed as special permissions
so I changed that to full control access for the account I run TheBat
with - over the next week I will pay attention to see if the
intermittent problem with regaining focus after downloading mail no
longer occurs.

3.5.21: Alt+Click on first column does not quick filter

2005-05-28 Thread MAU
Hello all,

The problem I am seeing may be related to the one reported in

> The first ~16 pixels of the columns don't react. When you has the
> symbols for parking or message flags in first columns, you can't

I have an unthreaded view mode in which Read/Unread flag is in first
column. If I Alt+Click on an Unread icon to filter (just view) unread
messages, nothing happens.

Well, this is not completely true. It depends on where on the
Read/Unread icon you place the cursor and click. Roughly, if you place
the cursor on the left half of the envelope, nothing happens. But if you
click on the right half, it works. On a closer look, if the cursor is
Alt+placed on the left half the cursor does not change, while if you
Alt+place it on the right half it does change from the normal arrow
pointer to a hand pointer, and then it works as expected.

This only happens when Read/unread is in first column.

Any confirmations?

Confirmed. I just tested this, because "unthreaded" is my normal,
preferred, way to view messages.

Confirmed for this, also.

That's where my "yellowish' envelopes, indeed, are. I didn't try to
switch things around to test this part.

> Any confirmations?

Confirmed here. Although I'm not in love with many keyboard/mouse
combinations. I would probably go to the drop-down menu to change
which messages are displayed.

My main keyboard/mouse love is Shift/Reply-arrow with highlighted text
to be quoted. About the only keyboard/mouse combo I use. And it still
fails me by not quoting "Smiley" handles from RTV. I have to go to PTV
if I want to quote Smileys correctly. An old grievance of mine, since
3.xx. Ah, well, more info than you wanted, huh, Miguel?

I have the zipped file of version 3.0.2.10.rar on my Hard Drive. (It's
my favorite, although I am staying with the beta series because of my
interest in helping with it.)

I could try to send it to you by PM as an attachment, if you like.

I would love to upgrade to 3.0.2.10 but can't find it
on the beta download site. I believe that's the
version from which I downgraded to 3.5 (it was the last
beta before Ritlabs went "alpha"). It was solid and
was full of features that actually worked!

Dear Ritlabs, please put it back up.

Hello tbbeta,

When adding groups to the address list, ie RMB in the T0: section,
can anyone add more than 4 groups. I have 4 groups and they work just
fine. They have the ability to expand so I can select individuals in
each group. I have a 5th group set up to do the same, but it does not
show up in the pick list, not do any of its members.

Cannot set IMAP folder synchronisation mode (Was: Re: 3.5.21)

I cannot set synchronisation mode for an IMAP folder of newly created
account. Please see the following screen shot
<http://work.ripattila.com/tb_3_5_21-manage_imap_folders-synchronisation_mode_mismatch.png>.

First I tried to change the mode by double clicking the checkbox on the
folderlist, but the status of that particular folder was not updated on
the UI. When I tried to perform the change via the main menu,
synchronisation mode was listed correctly there.

My question is which one of the modes is now set? Where could I check
it for sure?

Thanks, Tero

P.S. I still get AVs when closing TB!. They seem not to be reproducable.
Will get back to this when I'll find out what triggers them. With .18 or
.19 or so I got AVs only when I had connections open when exiting TB!
now it makes no difference.
