You're suggesting a new option ?

I don't see the option on the Options/Preferences.

I think if we could remove the MN icon from the menu bar using the
customization option will be ok for everyone. I tried to do it but I
god the AV I post on the 4.2.13.4 thread.

The hotkey is not the problem.

What I was thinking of was the improvement of the
keyboard usage in menu navigator (MN) itself.

My suggestion is to call MN
via hotkey (cursor is in search textbox), enter search string, then press
"Tab"-key once to jump directly to the list of results (the first result,
if there are more than one, is selected; blue bar by default), then use
arrow down- (or up)-keys to select the desired command and then hit "Enter"-key
to
execute the command.

confirmed. with the new 432.13.2, nothing ever happened in the
connection center. No error messages on exit, just nothing logged and
no indication it ever tried to connect with fastmail. still fine with
last version, hence able to 1) receive this message, and 2) reply to

The feature itself maybe very useful for serveral people, but not for
me. The Menu Navigator IMO is not important enough to give it such a
prominent position in the menu bar. => View|Menu Navigator is
sufficient.

Cheers!

Is there any possibility to use the menu navigator completely by keyboard?

As far as I can see, the list of results can be accessed by pressing "Tab"
a few times, but you can't select an entry via arrow keys. You need the
mouse again to choose an item.
When there is more than one result, and you click "Navigate", the first
result is executed. When you press "Tag" to get the focus to the list of
results you can navigate via arrow keys to another item but you cannot
execute it by pressing enter.
And from time to time, the hotkey Ctrl+Shift+M is not working.

If this instrument is intended to simplify program usage by keyboard, there
still is some work to be done. Or what else is the intention of this
feature?
