I don't use gmail's imap, but I've got the same problem with imap.
Oddly enough the problem was cured over here by returning to the
4.2.36.1 that was published without the msi.
The .msi version didn't download messages, after several reboots I
returned to the .rar version and my imap messages started downloading
again.

Hello Beta list,

I tried to configure an account in The Bat! für my Email account at Yahoo Email.

Tried three times.

Third time round I could configure it so that I at least received/downloaded
emails from the Yahoo account.

But never never managed to send mails with The Bat!

Any advice to solve the problem? What exactly do I have to do (check and
uncheck) when configuring ?

Thanks,
Franz Schöler

Hi Bob,

The bad news - I just connected to Gmail's IMAP (my primary account)
and the message bodies in the inbox for the past week have still not
 downloaded;

Seems that 4.2.36.1's IMAP is broken (again).

I can't reliably send emails with it. 4.2.33 worked fine in that
regards.

Thunderbird until TB's new IMAP is ready to go.

Stefan please show us what amazes you :-)

4.2.36.1 and Gmail IMAP

2010-04-16 Thread Bob Riley
Hi Maxim,

I just now installed the home edition, as you can see.

The good news - it installed without a hitch.

The bad news - I just connected to Gmail's IMAP (my primary account)
and the message bodies in the inbox for the past week have still not
downloaded; only the headers downloaded. Clicking on a message in the
list doesn't lead to the message body being downloaded. FYI, the last
time I used TB to check mail was last week, since I am still using
Thunderbird until TB's new IMAP is ready to go.

I therefore am going back to 4.2.33 for now.

Take care,
