Yes, I have experienced that. It's an expansion of the "jumping cursor
syndrome":

https://bt.ritlabs.com/view.php?id=2125 Jumping cursor
https://bt.ritlabs.com/view.php?id=2142 Jumping cursor when replying inline to
HTML messages

I think they are all related.

After playing with this version some more, I noticed one behavior that I'd like
to point out.

When editing an HTML message and selecting text "wordwise" using
Ctrl+Shift+Arrow (left/right), the editor sometimes selects one or two words as
expected and then starts to make jumps of several words, selecting random large
portions of the text - in both directions (not only in the direction I wanted
to select in but also "back" behind the caret).

The boundaries of the large selecting block seem to stay the same even if I try
to start selecting a different word, wich brings me to the idea that possibly
something in the HTML causes the stops.

It happens with a fresh mail written from scratch too - it only needs to be
HTML. Terxt editing is OK i this regard.

Has anyone experienced that behavior and possibly already created an issue for
it?

Yeah, I have 10pt set as my default size.

There's another bug – sometimes if I select a few words in the middle of the

Potential bug

If a wrong word is found in the test. The spell checker will underline the
word. If you right click on the word, select the correct spelling, the correct
work is put at the start of the sentence and does not replace the misspelled
word.

Running the Bat 64 bit.

Title: Re: 9.4.2.7

Hi Stefan,

ST> Version 9.4.2.7 is available

As in a previous beta html editor can't be used daily:

1) after copy-past text fragments in different styles where are no way to simply "normalize" it to default font name, size and color. Selecting text and trying to enter new font name in a toolbar reset the selection. Pressing "Enter" in font size field do nothing (needs to change font in in list to higher and next to lower size to make changes).
2) Using logo in mail templates works incorrectly (doesn't mean ANSI English path to image or used local chars). After saving mail - logo is not attached to thу message.
3) Most keyboard shortcut things, like:
- select text, press enter to delete selected and jump to new line
- deleting parts of inserted tables by Backspace
- pressing Del before tables to delete line by line
doesn't work :(
May be new generation of users is not use keyboard and use only mouse, but this is not a best practice. Same incorrect thing on TabOrder at a lot of places. Jumping from one field to another by "Tab" is not possible, only by mouse, because TabOrder is wrong for toolbars.

In the viewer, after receiving this message back, there was no hard LF after
"OK,". Now that means the editor and the viewer do not show the same. I clicked
on the HTML icon, and there is indeed no hard LF. The editor is not WYSIWYG.
Bug.

I again see a hrd LF after '"OK,' but the second " is on the nexct line...
weired.

Also, in the viewer there are no soft line breaks, the lines in the incoming
message just go on outside the screen and I have to scroll to read them. Bug.

[SPAM?] 9.4.2.7

2021-07-21 Thread Ira
So I set this already but I'm uncertain if it went because instead of reply, I
was playing with edit as new and accidently used edit as new for this which
left the from as it was on the original message.  Also, when I then changed the
account so it was coming from me, it added a forwarded from header at the top
and an end of original message footer, not something I wanted or expected
though I guess one might argue it makes sense.  Also further testing shows that
some HTML messages work properly and some don't.

Dear All,

Version 9.4.2.7 is available

[-] "Message | Edit as new"  was quoting original text
Well, it works better for text messages, but not at all for HTML messages.
When I use edit as new on a HTML message it puts in all the HTML as text so it
looks like this. I've only included the first few lines but a one page message
is many many pages of HTML code. The text between the lines of
/// was just copied from a message where I choose edit as
new.
