Re: v10 beta 2 - Installer creates program subfolders with version numbers - bad for Windwos user backups

backups
More of a general backup question but I am using a beta... When I choose to create an update to an existing archive and select the existing archive it creates a new smaller .tbk file. Am I to assume that if I blow away the hard drive and reinstall the bat I will restore from the original archive, then restore from the new smaller .tbk file which will have the incremental data not captured in the original backup? -- Matt v. 3.98.6 Current beta is 3.98.06 | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html IMPORTANT: To register as a Beta tester, use this link first - http://www.ritlabs.com/en/partners/testers/
Restoring backups with 3.5 - any known problems?
Hæ! I have installed WinXP Pro and wanted to port over TB and its mail archive and settings from my Win2000 system. So, I did a backup from v3.5 Pro. I installed TB 3.5 Pro on WinXP Pro and tried to restore the backup file. TB now says me at some point during the restore, it cannot read the file and aborts the restoration process. I did a new backup, but I doesn't help. Is this a known bug/behaviour?
