That's a pity.

I am not sure whether I get you right. Where can it be defined what to use
- and where can we define account settings for the view mode? Or are you
talking about the Global View Mode?

While we are at this, 9Val, can you please give me an example on how to use
a Filter in the view mode setup? Does that mean that a single incoming
message can change the view mode for a folder, if it matches a filter? Is
it only silly me who has problems to understand this?

No. Open folder properties, there is a combo box 'Column setup'.
Besides using ViewMode there are possibility to use parent folder view
mode, account default settings, folder own settings. Which column
setup is by default in your folder when no view mode selected.

PH While we are at this, 9Val, can you please give me an example on how to use
PH a Filter in the view mode setup?

You can set filter to show only needed messages. In example - all
flagged, all from AB-persons, flagged and not replied and so on. It
is like Virtual Folder, except filters only current folder. So
Viewmodes can be used as fast switches between view filtering.

I had the same empty display with ALT-0. When I followed these
instructions the folder properties were set to Folder own settings.
I switched them to use account default, and ALT-0 then gave me a
sensible view. I switched the folder properties BACK to folder own
settings and ALT-0 still worked.

It even worked it other folders I had had the ALT-0 problem with.

I hope that helps

I have switched three subfolders of INBOX to Use parent folder column

When I change something to the column settings while inside one of the

So far so good, as expected.

But when I quit and restart TB, that subfolder where I have changed
something (RMB/Setup columns), holds Use folder specific setting in its
properties. That is only true after restarting TB!

Why?

Choose any folder set to use the Account Default Settings. Set this to
way way you want it. All other folders with that use the Account
Default Settings should follow suit.

Empty message list after Alt+0

2005-04-20 Thread Peter Hampf
Good evening tbbeta,

suddenly I got an empty message list after pressing Alt+0 to view the
folder in unthreaded view. (A switch between Alt+0 and Alt+1 is a very
common task for me!) This was true for ALL folders, regardless of which
View Mode had been assigned to the folder.

  To whom it may concern:
http://www.meinemail.net/pics/TB-empty-message-list.avi
  (667 KB, DivX)

The only way to get rid of this and to get the unthreaded view back was to
assign a self-defined view-mode to the folder, edit this view mode and
assign Thread by: none in the definition. After doing so, I was able to
switch back to (No View Mode) and use Alt+0 as usual.

  Has anybody seen this before?
