Hello Roger, I think you are referring to 'Read' filters. In version 5 these filters are ONLY triggered if you use the 'Smart spacebar' to mark the message as having been read. Nothing else triggers these filters! IMHO a retrograde step from version 4. I fully agree. After so many years of marking the messages as read with Ctrl+M (or my customised Space bar) it is many times a nonsense having to scroll through a long message with Smart Space just to mark it as read. -- Best regards, Miguel A. Filtering out messages
Hi, I have set messages to be moved to one folder on arrival from a couple of POP3 accounts and then other filters are set to be triggered while Reading the e-mail. As for now it mostly works apart but: - if I don't want to read each of them and mark couple of e-mails and press CTRL+M they are not processed and stay in the general folder up to the moment I manually filter the folder. That behavior was like that for long time ; nothing not to be able to live with just wondering why CTRL+M makes filters not to be triggered. It's a manual mark Read order so IMO should work the same way as checking e-mail. Am I mistaken here? - in v.5 it happens from time to time that e-mail is filtered to a certain folder without me reading it. I know that because it's still marked as unread on the Message Ticker but not in General Inbox. That part is a bit random. In that case for a certain sender mostly e-mails stay in General Inbox up to the moment they are read but sometimes they are filtered out before reading. I do see that problem for about 1-1.5 month. Happens not so often and Message Ticker is on so can live with it for some time :) -- Best Regards, RS (FEDARA) The Bat! 5.1.2 Windows 7 x64 Professional (7601 Service Pack 1) POP3 accounts (x5) Friday, May 11, 2012 (10:06 ; GMT+8) Current beta is 5.1.4.0 | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
