Group by date

2007-08-20 Thread Fredrik Bergström
Hello The Bat! BetaList,

I just found a small problem with my view mode for my Sent E-Mail
  folder.

I have the view mode configured to sort on Created,
Thread by Recipient and Group by date.

What happens is that the oldest e-mail in the thread defines the
grouping. So if I have sent an e-mail to someone 2006 and then again
last week the e-mail will be listed in the Last year group.

I've attached a small image to show my configuration.

I have not noticed it before, and since I run the latest beta I
thought I better ask here first.

Any ideas? Is this a known problem?

Ah, sorry. I just reloaded the non beta The Bat! version and noticed
  the problem there as well.

Should I post the question the Users List instead?

Issues of Group by date mode

2005-04-25 Thread Marek Miku
Hello all,
I have some issues for this feature:

- I gave no unread messages, but group names Today, Yesterday,
Last week etc. are displayed bold.

- when I select group name and want to use items in Thread context
menu item like mark as read or delete, they don't work.

- sometimes I see number of total items like (2 total) or (1 unread
out of 5 total), but manytimes not, I don't know, why it is not
included allways, it is good to know this

- I like this mode, but there is no customisation for it, for example
I don't need group More than one year ago, I want have all messages
older than month in one group etc.

- and BTW all strings (group names, strings unread, total etc) related
to this mode acn't be translated.

Re: Issues of Group by date mode

2005-04-25 Thread MAU
Hello Marek,

 - I gave no unread messages, but group names Today, Yesterday,
Last week etc. are displayed bold.

I think it is supposed to be that way, just like when threading by
subject.

 - when I select group name and want to use items in Thread context
menu item like mark as read or delete, they don't work.

At least mark as read or unread work here.

 - I like this mode, but there is no customisation for it, for example
I don't need group More than one year ago, I want have all messages
older than month in one group etc.

When I want to do something like that, I used VFs.

Hello tbbeta

I've not noticed this before... View threads by.. group by date. For
me I get Today, Yesterday, and This year more than 3 months ago.
Cool - but a few in-between date groups would be useful. Are these

How long do you store your messages in tbbeta?
Because I've got lots of options more:

today
yesterday
earlier this week
last week
two weeks ago
three weeks ago
last month
two months ago
three months ago
this year, more than three months ago
more than one year ago

However, not all of them appear in every folder, depends on the age
groups that contain messages. It stops at 'more than one year ago'.
