You're completly right. IMAP in TheBat is in my opinion completly unusable. Sometimes it works, sometimes not. So bad that nobody from the creaters is ever paying attention to threads like this one. Welcome to the IMAPrevTB :) I already moved to Outlook 2007 for better IMAP and the only feature I'm missing now is messages thread view, which doesn't work well in Outlook. Did some more testing and it seems to be general instability in IMAP. I created a new filter after restarting TB and it worked the first time, but then quit working. I then sent more test messages and it quit working. I then quit TB and then re-launched and it started working again. Don't know what to suaggest as Ritlabs does not seem to want to work on IMAP anymore in version 3. -- Stuartmailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Using The Bat! v3.99.8 on Windows XP 5.1 Build 2600 Service Pack 2 Current beta is 3.99.07 | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

No, it was one of the folders that did not change since the time I setup the IMAP account. In "Manage IMAP folders" the synchronize checkbox of this folder was not checked. I changed this and tried again, also disconnected from the IMAP server and connected again. No luck. I also tried to change the mail which should get moved to the local POP3 account to unread again. Also no luck. Is there something special I have to look at for IMAP filter rules which I simply forgot or do not know? >> 2) TB does not show the new folders and I did not find any way to >> initiate something like this. > Right click on the account name and select Manage IMAP folders. Clearly a problem which sat in front of the computer. ;-) Worked as you described. >> 3) Inbox appeared bold and showed the number of new mails not until I >> clicked onto it. > This sometimes happens and seems to be a bug. Well ok no big problem for me. But this filter problem really is a showstopper for me in my particular setup I want to run here (as described in my first mail). -- Regards, Martin The Bat! v3.99.6 powered by Windows 2003 5.2 Build 3790 Service Pack 2 ConCarne cooks best since 1998 http://www.concarne.org smime.p7s Description: S/MIME Cryptographic Signature Current beta is 3.99.07 | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

IMAP folder list synchronization
Hi all, again I tried my luck with IMAP. I was very unlucky again. Just wanted to make sure that the problem isn't sitting in front of the computer... ;-) I created several folders on my test mailbox the last weeks using the webmail interface. Also there are several mails in the Inbox and the created folders. I pressed "Recieve new mails" in TB. Following three problems: 1) I created a filter which should move mails with a certain sender in a certain folder to a folder in another TB account. Nothing happened. The reason I like to do this: I want to store mails local because of the huge size and numbers, also I use TB a lot of when being offline. The reason I want to use IMAP instead of POP3: I need to create folders on the mailserver because I get ~200 mails a day and cannot reasonable read these mails online via webmail without sorting this serverside to folders. 2) TB does not show the new folders and I did not find any way to initiate something like this. 3) Inbox appeared bold and showed the number of new mails not until I clicked onto it. As I said, maybe not a TB problem, but I just wanted to be sure. -- Regards, Martin The Bat! v3.99.6 powered by Windows 2003 5.2 Build 3790 Service Pack 2 ConCarne cooks best since 1998 http://www.concarne.org smime.p7s Description: S/MIME Cryptographic Signature Current beta is 3.99.07 | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
