Lumpy performance with .19

2005-04-27 Thread Foster, Graham
Hi TBBETA

I've been experiencing very lumpy performance since installing v19.
Even when TB! is the only task running, I can get periods when the
message screen lags by 6-10 characters, the flying bat stops flying
and the connection centre just hangs there forever.

Any one else experiencing these problems.. or is it me specific
(happens on 2 separate machines for me though - both XP-SP2)

I can't say that I've seen that here and I'm using the same OS you
are. Are you sure there aren't any background processes running
(desktop indexing, Windows Update, etc)?

Hello Stuart
Are you sure there aren't any background processes running
 (desktop indexing, Windows Update, etc)?
Nothing appeared to be running.. but who knows with Windows. Seems
fine at the moment,.. could have been a local network issue I suppose.
