 https://www.ritlabs.com/bt/view.php?id=8863 .

Thanks. I've added a note.

Another issue is that virtual folders are also not refereshed when
message is moved from IMAP to another folder by the filter.

This did seemed mostly fixed in 5.0.34. I'll upgrade to 5.0.34.2 to see
if it gets worse.

Re: 5.0.34 - Mail Ticker shows deleted unread messages

2012-02-10 Thread Tony Hoare
Hello Tony,

I have a filter that filters incoming mail from the Inbox to another
 folder - which works.

The Mail Ticker is set to show new messages in both the Inbox and the
target folders and shows two new emails; one for the deleted message
in the Inbox and one for the target folder.

Double clicking the Mail Ticker jumps to the Inbox but does not show
the message unless 'Browse Deleted Messages' is enabled.

The Mail Ticker should ignore deleted messages.

 Anyone else seeing this?

No one else seeing this? Perhaps you don't have Mail Ticker set to
show Inbox messages as I do. It's unusual, I suppose, because normally
there's a load of email in the Inbox that you don't want to see on the
Tocker but then move some to a subfolder where you do want to see them
on the Ticker.

This particular account (not my main account) is relatively new and I
currently want to see all messages in the Inbox as it does not have a
load of spam/junk (yet).

Maxim, this should be easy to test on a new account with a minimal
number of messages in. Leave some there and filter some to a new
folder. The filtered message are marked unread/deleted in the Inbox
and show on the mail ticker. Must be a simple one line fix. e.g. 'AND
NOT DELETED'

It's starting to become a real PITA as I have to browse deleted messages
in the Inbox just to mark the deleted messages as read and then unbrowse
deleted messages.

Hello Zygmunt,

The Mail Ticker in this version is buggy. I am not able to set colours, and
one of Polish users reported opening empty window after clicking the message
 displayed in the Mail Ticker.

This happens to me if the mail is filtered out of the folder to
another leaving the orginal folder with only deleted messages (that
show on the Ticker). Have you tried browsing deleted messages in the
'empty' folder? You might just find an unread, deleted messages.

There is now way to get it back without a restart.

It seems counter intuitive. There's a hide button on the ticker but
nowhere a show button. Once hidden, it seems that there's no way to
see it with the messages on it. You can show always but then it
displays zero messages. New mail arrives but does not appear on MT.

We need a way to put it away until we are ready to deal with it.

Hello Maxim,

We've made some fixes in the mail ticker in 4.1.1.9. If you have

 fixed. Thank you in advance.

What I describe in note 0022398 from 15-Oct-2008 of in BT report
https://www.ritlabs.com/bt/view.php?id=4572 is still happening.

My mailticker is still configured for an Age Limit of 8 hours. Right now
I only have one unread message that is younger than that and that is the
only message displayed in ticker, which is correct.

However, the the count of new messages in ticker is 6 because I have
another 5 unread messages, although the 5 of them are older (even days
older) than 8 hours. This I think is incorrect (although not a real big
issue but it may be misleading or confusing).

Now, if I remove Age Limit, the count of new messages is still 6 AND the
six of them are displayed in the ticker, which is correct.

CF The ticker on your notebook would show up fine if it had the same
CF screen size as your desktop machine. There is an entry in the
CF registry, changing the values may bring it back.

Maybe someone knows which registry value. I did resize the main Bat
screen and drop the ticker in the center of it on my desktop. My hope
was that when copying the /Batmail directory to the notebook, the
ticker position would be saved and viewable. It didn't work. :(

My 21 desktop is 1200x1600 and my 15 notebook is 1200x800 so perhaps
the ticker is appearing where my keyboard is.

Looks like that could have caused the problem. Now with no opacity it

Just reading this thread gave me the hint to have a look at the
settings in Options/Preferences/MailTicker.

I had been having an annoying discrepancy between the new messages
count on the MailTicker and the count on the Account/Folder tree. Even
more bothersome, the new messages in those folders were not available
from the MailTicker.

This had been going on through the last several betas, so I kept
watching to see if someone would report it. Was suspecting it must be
local to me.

And it was! At some installation, the
Options/Preferences/MailTicker/folder preferences got changed. I don't
even remember that folder-options button before, as a matter of fact.

Anyway, I told it to Select All and all is now well.

Many thanks to you, Zygmunt.

bug with mail ticker - browse mail window

2004-12-02 Thread David Prodinger

hello all!

I noticed one bug (malfunction):

If I get an email, the Mail Ticker opens and scrolls it's content on
top of my screen. I double click to read the mail, it opens in the
Browse Mail window. No problem till here.

But if I hit reply now (in the browse mail window), write an email
and send it, the original message (which resides in Inbox-Known)
never gets the flag Replied. This is some inconvenience because I
look through my mails to see which mails I already have replied and
which mails are to be replied.

Is this a known bug (I didn't find it in the bug tracker).

  Could anyone confirm?

yours,
dave

TB 2.13.b1: Mail-Ticker is 'hypersensible'

2004-08-02 Thread Michael Henke
Hi all!

Since installing 2.13.b1 now *every* incoming e-mail triggers the
mail-ticker - even if e-mails only touch the inbox before they are
automatically filtered into different folders. BTW: The inbox is the
only folder with the mail-ticker-option switched on.

Marking new e-mails as read doesn't make the mail-ticker disappear,
selecting the inbox in the folder pane *does* - at once.

Mail ticker weirdness

2003-01-06 Thread Andy
Hello tbbeta,

I have the mail ticker on auto mode, so it appears when I have new
mail, not otherwise. Once in a blue moon it will stay up, with the
text, 0 new messages and will not go away unless I manually toggle
the ticker mode. Context clicking and hide doesn't work. Context
clicking and saying it isn't on top, then hiding does work. Go
  figure.

clicking on the left of total number of msgs in mail ticker

2002-05-10 Thread Oleg Titov

Hello tbbeta,
if you click on a bit to the left from total number of messages on
mail ticker -- nothing happens. Supposed it should open the first
unread message. If you click a bit to the right it works well.

This behavior was reported some time ago for both sides from total
message string. Now the right part is fixed, but the left one is
   still insensible to clicks.

Oleg

Hello all,

I have Mail Ticker set to NOT always on top. With version 1.53d, while
I had other applications open, I used to be able to change to Mail
Ticker by Alt+Tab. This is not possible now with 1.60c on my NT 4.0
SP6.

Bug or feature?

Thanks,

This making all new ticker message view/listed.
Try as follow: if your mail ticker comes up, select/double click it,
then you will view one message only, go to View Menu and select
Message list.

Mail Ticker: old problem

2001-10-11 Thread Dierk Haasis

Hello TBBETA Members!

since I use TB! my MT doesn't work correctly. Just so we don't
forget *and* may get more info from other users having the same
  problem I regularly post this:

My MT is set to Show automatically all new messages for a
certain time (30 s max). It is auto-zoomed at the top edge
of my desktop, always on top.

When new messages come in it starts to go around. But it
gets stuck with the xx new messages note after one
  complete roundabout.

I'd really like to use the MT but can't.

For those who haven't ever seen my question: I encountered it on
three very different computers. My home machine - Matrox Millenium
  DH 32MB, 19 Iiyama, 1280x1040 (24bit) res -, and two computers with
older ATI graphics adapters and 17 monitor.

It would be quite good if we can find the problem, so RITLabs - who
already tried their hand, but couldn't do anything without a common
denominator - can fix the bug.

BTW, I don't have access to the other machines anymore.

DH My MT is set to Show automatically all new messages for a certain
DH time (30 s max).

Have you tried working it without the Age limit setting? What happens?
Then try bringing in varying ages bit-by-bit. What time stamp does it
use to determine the age of a message? Is it received or created.
If it's the created time, what's the chance of a message being less
than 30 seconds old by the time you receive it? Even if it's received
time, 30 seconds isn't very long.

Yeah, why not earlier, without an age limit it works correct.

But, the MT should never get stuck. Even with the age limit it should
just disappear (when set to Automatically, which it initially was). At
least it shouldn't get stuck in the more or less meaningless message
xx messages new.

Thanks, we have solved the riddle that haunted me for one and a half
year now.

That's why I no longer use it. I really like the idea, and I would use
it, but it's just not very convenient -- which is supposed to be the
point, right? I agree; I would imagine it would disappear with an age
limit set, but no.
