Re: Losing mail
Hello Maxim, I am using IXWebhosting mail servers for all my domains. I used to use the POP3 to access but they suggested the IMAP as there were issues with getting all my mail. Going to IMAP4 too access seemed to help correct the issue. Re: Losing mail
Hello Scuddy, Ever since I started using my cell phone to access mail and changed the bat to use IMAP4 from POP, I've had some strange happenings. I'm on 50.20.1 at the moment. There was an interim 'fix' release to address IMAP issues but it didn't work well. I get 'ghost' messages that just don't exist anywhere. Not on the email server, they just wont go away in the bat. I've tried to re-install, clear cache and such but I think it is a bug in the email/IMAP mailbox settings or something. I can't keep deleting and re-setting up accounts as was suggested. I lost too much valuable information! My time with The Bat may have run it's course. It is just way too unstable. In one case I sent an e-mail from an IMAP account to one of my POP accounts, but it never arrived. When I got home ot check the file it shows in the sent mail box of the IMPA account, but never did show up in the POP account. Secondly, I received a message in my inbox of an IMAP account, but when I went to find it again it was nowhere to be found. I thought I had confused it with another message until someone who had been cc'd on the e-mail, replied to all. A search of the account finds no copy anywhere. Are others experiencing these phantom disappearances? Current beta is 5.0.26.2 | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

Re: Losing mail
Hello Maxim, A reminder of what Maxim Masiutin typed on: Thursday, October 13, 2011 at 22:08:07 GMT +0300 MM I have friends that use free servrice for mail hosting and then sometimes MM lose messages, but this is server-side problems. If we will be able to find MM the traces of your problem and it if it will be a client-related problem, we MM will be willing to fix it. By the way, what server are you using? I will try to keep an eye on things. My guess is the one issue was filtering related as I also had some messages moved that were not marked as Read at the same time as the message went missing. I also found the missing message in a completely different account. The other issue may have been due to the size. It was a large message and was sent to a live.com account. Maybe they only allow a certain size. I'm not sure what server is being used in the IMAP account. Here is the initial info from the server: 10/13/2011 5:43:11 PM C: 1 CAPABILITY 10/13/2011 5:43:12 PM S: * OK [CAPABILITY IMAP4rev1 LITERAL+ SASL-IR LOGIN-REFERRALS ID ENABLE STARTTLS AUTH=PLAIN AUTH=LOGIN] Dovecot ready. 10/13/2011 5:43:12 PM S: *CAPABILITY IMAP4rev1 LITERAL+ SASL-IR LOGIN-REFERRALS ID ENABLE SORT SORT=DISPLAY THREAD=REFERENCES THREAD=REFS MULTIAPPEND UNSELECT IDLE CHILDREN NAMESPACE UIDPLUS LIST-EXTENDED I18NLEVEL=1 CONDSTORE QRESYNC ESEARCH ESORT SEARCHRES WITHIN CONTEXT=SEARCH LIST-STATUS QUOTA STARTTLS AUTH=PLAIN AUTH=LOGIN -- Best regards, Stuartmailto:scu...@mts.net Using The Bat! v5.0.26.2 (ALPHA) On Windows 7 6.1 Build #7601 Current beta is 5.0.26.2 | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
