 I read in TBUDL that there are more users experiencing these AV's.

Could you send me your tbuser.def from your TB! directory in private?
I would give it a try, if that causes your problems.

RT unfortunately this is a debug version. It tries to create a file a.htm
RT on c:\ and crashes if it can't.
 Surely something like this could have simply done a file creation
 check first, and then only try and create the file if it could?

Yes, but when you develop, and you just do it for yourself, you dont
make a checking code, do you? I dont...

 But The Bat! is not a personal project.

But putting a small one-time use code into the main code is.. The
problem is, someone forgot to take that out.

I have libraries too, predefined forms in Delphi, but sometimes I just
start to type:
AssignFile... :)
