Understood, however there is a combination of things on your machine
that may have existed for some time that are only visible when certain
memory calls are made by a given program. It is a nasty thing to try
and track down. Again, there should be much more noise if there were a
general stability issue.

One of the things I have experienced is various hardware drivers
causing problems. Also, XP SP1 is not the standard for XP. I
understand there is some overriding concern for you to stay with SP1
but there might also be a price to pay for doing so.

I have not had a crash since an early v. 2. Other problems, yes, but
no crashes. I have never used XP on one of my machines though. If this
beta were unstable there should be much more noise about it.
