We will always be disappointed when we expect more than we deserve.
This thread has wasted more of the reader's time than I want to think
about. It doesn't even belong here as I recall the name is TBBeta.

Hallo Marcus,

download following archive and extract included files with icons into
 Home directory:

MO Yes, now I see the icons, but still no menu labels. Are I and Tony the
MO only ones not seeing the menu labels? No one else has commented on this.

? You want icons AND text?
Just rest your mousecursor for a second on an icon and you'll get text.

One thing that I think is odd is the fact that I drag all of the icon groups
onto one line, but after closing TheBat! and firing it up again, it's again
on two lines. I don't want that. But that's just a cosmetic thing.

MO Tony, are you running W2K too? Your signature does not reveal.

I see the menus labels just fine. I am however using Windows 98.

Very nice thank you. At least I now have my icons back. Can you tell me how
 to
get rid of the Configuration and Quick Search tool bars please. No matter how
many times I uncheck them in the View menu they just won't go away?

do it via context menu after right click on any toolbar.

it is not finished, so I can help You by removing them completely
from def file only:

remove following rows from mainform.def:

  crc32(toolbar) [MainForm_ConfigurationToolbar] linked to MsgInDock;0;1
  crc32(toolbar) [MainForm_QuickSearchToolbar] linked to MsgInDock;1;1

GMM I downloaded this file and extracted the three images to tbat program

GMM but I have no icons. Only text labels (in all cases except message
dispatcher,
GMM where I see icons and the main menu twice!)

you have to restart TheBat! for that to work!
