For reasons that are unimportant yes, that's exactly what I did. As I said, it's not tragic that the filters are gone but it's disturbing. Might be unrelated, but I wasn't surprised when Paul White indicated he'd lost filter edits. -- George Using The Rat! 3.0.2.1 on Windows XP Pro 5.1, Build 2600, Service Pack 2. So, you didn't actually create a new filter but just an empty shell called "New Filter"? -- Dierk Haasis :Dierk: Copy 'n' Concept The Bat 3.0.2.1 on Windows XP 5.1 2600 Service Pack 2 Chat info for ICQ, AIM, MSN, Yahoo, Jabber upon request When life is reduced to its very essence, we find that we have many genes in common with every species on Earth, and that we're not so different from one another. Close and restart TB!, open > the Sorting Office and it's gone. I've had a lot of problems with filters this weekend. What I've experienced may be related to what you have seen. I've edited many filters and closed the dialog. On the next editing session they've reverted to their original state. It appears that I have to click on another filter before the first one changes permanently especially when moving from one account to another. Just clicking 'OK' isn't always enough to make the changes sticky. May be the common problem is that the disk files are not being fully updated at the right time and a program close and restart reverts the filters to their previous state? -- Paul White Using The Bat! 3.0.1.33 (Home Edition) on Windows 98 (4.10.1998) Current beta is 3.0.2.1 Beta/1 | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html IMPORTANT: To register as a Beta tester, use this link first - http://www.ritlabs.com/en/partners/testers/
Unedited filters disappear on TB! restart
Hi all, Create a new filter, but don't edit it in any way. Close and reopen the Sorting Office and it's still there. Close and restart TB!, open the Sorting Office and it's gone. You could argue "no harm no foul" since any edit will cause it to persist, but it's disconcerting to have stuff just disappear. It contributed to my initial unease with the NFS. -- George Using The Rat! 3.0.2.1 on Windows XP Pro 5.1, Build 2600, Service Pack 2.
