View modes completely broken and other issues

2005-05-18 Thread Thorvald Neumann
Hæ!

Today morning, I decided to go back to v3.0.2.10, after launching v3.5.

v3.5 decided somehow to completely delete or forget the different
view modes I assigned to different folders. This is a PITA. :(

Furthermore, due to the underlining of accounts, the account tree now
takes more space on the left handside than before. I now have to
scroll down, in v3.0.2.10, my account tree does not fill the whole
length (on 1280 x 1024). It would be nice, if there would be an option
to disable the underlining. I haven't found this in the XML-file.

And I liked the former View Threads by subject better than the new
one. Especially when the new message in a subject will be the first
one (...begins a thread). I have not found a way to mimic this
behaviour with a special ViewMode yet. The new threading by subject
requires one more click from the user.

Just some thoughts.

Confirmed

TN Furthermore, due to the underlining of accounts, the account tree now
TN takes more space on the left handside than before. I now have to

I don't care for the underlining either though it doesn't bother me as
much as you, I can't keep the folder tree of my main account on the
account tree pane anyway.

TN And I liked the former View Threads by subject better than the new
TN one. Especially when the new message in a subject will be the first
TN one (...begins a thread). I have not found a way to mimic this

TN requires one more click from the user.

Didn't notice any difference.

The new thread by subject adds a new subject line, displaying just
the subject and the number of replies.

After doubleclicking, the subject tree opens and you have to
manually select a message. Just clicking/selecting it, does nothing.

It would be nice if you doubleclick on the line, you instantly get the
newest message of this subject to open in the message pane.

Yep, I realize. Was a bit slow on the uptake as I hardly use thread by
subject and even then I tend to go from message to message with Ctrl-]
