Usually font smoothing kicks in by then making them much richer to look at. [Slightly OT] a fixed-width font for you to try out
Hello. Lately, out of lack of a reasonable monospaced font, I decided to take a whack at Softy the font editor, and create a font for my own use. Thought I might as well share. The reason I'm not posting it to TBOT is that I wouldn't want to trouble the regular users out there, while you, fellow betatesters, are probably accustomed to trying out various new-and-probably-not-quite-perfect things :P So, here goes: http://maxxx.is-a-geek.org/termx.fon -- NO CARRIER... but I've got 2 destroyers and a frigate. |\ /| \~~~/ \~~~/ WWW: http://none :( | \/ | /\ \~/ E-M: maxxx[at]rpg.pl || /__\ /___\ /_\ /___\ ICQ: 3146019 Flyin' high with The Bat! v1.62 Christmas Edition over the swamps of Windows 2000 5.0 build 2195 Dodatek Service Pack. 2 Current beta is 1.62b16 | Using TBBETA information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

In reply to MaXxX's message '[Slightly OT] a fixed-width font for you to try out' on Saturday, December 07, 2002 1:04 PM from [EMAIL PROTECTED]: MaXxX, M Lately, out of lack of a reasonable monospaced font, I decided to M take a whack at Softy the font editor, and create a font for my own M use. I found it too hard to read at high resolution - the letters all seemed to run into each other. And the ' ` , characters were all too abnormally large in comparison to the rest of the characters surrounding them. I prefer Andale Mono at 9pt - i find it easier on the eyes than most. If you update it, or make another one, make sure you post to the list, cause I will check each one out. -- dan. e [EMAIL PROTECTED] w http://www.danhirning.com Current beta is 1.62b16 | Using TBBETA information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
