Hello Thomas and other TBUDLS,

on Sender":

It seems to me that it is not the brackets that is the problem. It is choosing
*both* brackets and quotes - like in "Jannik Lindquist"
[EMAIL PROTECTED] . For some reason TB will not allow this - even
though this is the form of the string proposed for "Sender" when creating filter
for incoming messages. In my - limited - experience the proposed string is a
kind of choice: "Do you want this or that?". If you delete one of the parts -
the quote part or the brackets-part - the filter will work. If you leave it as
it is, it won't.

I believe someone reasonably recently (!) explained why this is so on one of the
lists.

No, there is a bug here. The quotes have a special meaning for the
filters, namely "case sensitive". I suggested earlier that they use
another signal for "case sensitive", as the quotes are part of many
real names.

Just a suggestive question: Maybe it is possible to use only part of

I usually do this instead of using the complete string if I know it is
distinctive for parsimony and I can this way filter for slightly
different addresses from let's say one domain (institutes, companies

Hello TBUDL Members!

I was fiddling today with the "Mass Mailing" feature and created a
QT. In this I included - positioned at the end of the template - the
  above mentioned macro.

When testing (sending a "mass mailing" to myself opening it in the
editor AND posting it) there was no vCard attached.

To be sure, there exists a vCard and I am sending from the account
it is defined in. I did not find an option within QT or AB to define
an active account (but I have to admit that I am sometimes a bit
  blind concerning software ;-) ).

Can anybody tell me how to correctly put in the vCard without doing
it by hand but by the macro?

Hello TBUDL Members!

I found the solution to my problem:

The %ATTACHVCARD macro has to be at the beginning of the QT. As hast
to be the %SUBJECT macro (maybe others, too). If you place them at
the end either the macro will not be executed or the outcome will be
inserted in the wrong place. It is quite funny to have a letter
without a proper subject line, which will actually be shown at the
  end of your message :-).

There is a IMHO serious downside, every macro inserted before the
actual first line of the message creates a blank line, which has to
be deleted manually. And that will become a drag once you have more
than just a handful of mass mailing letters :-(.

Hopefully I overlooked something which can be done automatically
  about it.

just distracting...is there any way to banish it?

thanks very much!
