Upon reading that message, the URL is understandably unclickable when
presented like that in plain-text format.

Example:
a
href=http://the-bat-forums.donzeigler.com;http://the-bat-forums.donzeigler.com/a

In the first embedded URL, the URL is enclosed by quotation marks. This
messes up the syntax that the editor will use to recognize that it's a
URL. The URL should be clear of other text as in having spaces on either
side. Enclosing it in ,; signs are also acceptable. Enclosing within
quotation marks or other characters isn't.

No. Unless you consider moving the message to the Oubox, editing it
and moving it to the correct folder to be a workable solution. This
deletes all headers from the message, apart from To:, From: and
Subject:

Another way would be: exporting the message as .msg, editing the
exported message with a text editor, importing the message in TB's
message and deleting the original message. This is somewhat
cumbersome, but it keeps all headers. However the received time and
date will be the time the message is imported back into TB and not
the original received time.

Open pgp version support

2003-09-21 Thread Barry Wilkinson
Hello TBUDL members,

I am using pgp version 6.5i and have tried using the built-in support
for pgp without success.

I can encrypt and decrypt messages using the 6.5i plug-in, but using the
built-in support for versions 5, 6, 7, 8 either crashes The Bat! or just ignores the
'send'
command after requesting 'encrypt when completed'.

I realise that I could just carry on using the plug-in, but I would
like to get to the bottom of the problem. Should I upgrade pgp to
version 8?

Any help appreciated.

AH What are the differences between the native PGP support in TB,

The native support that PGP offers is PGP v2.6. When using this, you'll
be restricted to using only RSA keys. Most of us use the newer DH/DSS
keys so you'd not be able to verify our signatures or use our public
keys for encrypting messages to us.

AH the PGP 8.xx builds,

That's the latest official PGP version, available from www.pgp.com . The
latest version is v8.0.2 and TB! v2 will provide integrated support for
it.

AH the NUPG builds

Don't know those builds. :/

AH and the CKT builds?

These were developed by Imad Faiad in order to provide features not
available in PGP 6.5.8, the last of the official releases of PGP v6.x.x

I guess his further enhancement of this version to form the ckt builds
was motivated by the fact that the source for the later official PGP

Nothing. I cleared the log, opened one of the messages in the outbox,

It is as empty as when I cleared it.

Why some messages send while others do not is beyond me. It is not the SMTP

Put the message in the outbox doesn't work either. I have to close the

I use POP3 on accounts and selective download exclusively with the

Selective Download will filter on anything contained in that number
of lines and you can review all that's occurring in order to make

won't be downloaded.

I link all accounts to the same text file, which I continue to
