How to change /MAIL app call?
Hello, i found /MAIL in TB!'s help, but i can't figure out, what to do with it. When sending attachments from some apps, i'm asked to select my account and enter my pw from the TB!. But this is only for some apps, others don't ask for that. Hello WilWilWil, A reminder of what WilWilWil on TBUDL typed on: 14 December 2004 at 00:58:06 GMT +0100 W 1- First I needed an instant electronic mail : so I 've chosen MSN Messenger Messenger is good, great for instant messages and chatting. W 2- To work with MSN Messenger, I had to create a passport with a Hotmail W account : so I created an address like [EMAIL PROTECTED] No, to use Messenger you use whatever address you want, you don't HAVE to open a hotmail account at all. I use use it all the time and I've never had a hotmail address. In fact the address I'm registered with is no two years out of date. W 3- Microsoft force you to have a use of the hotmail at least one time per W month. If not, your account (mail and messenger account) is deleted ! Only if you have a hotmail account. I don't use mine for months at a time but it still works every time I use it. But like I said, you DON'T have to have a hotmail account to do what you want to do. W 4-I didn't want to use this hotmail because I've already personal W adresses for exchange with my friends. I just need messenger Then get rid of the hotmail account and just use Messenger as I've described above.#, I do. W And if I want POP and SMTP features with my Microsoft hotmail, it cost 20 W EUR per year ! :-( A little bit expensive for just using Messenger and never W use the mails... Then just use Messenger like I said, register your wilwilwil@ free.fr as your .net passport address, I used [EMAIL PROTECTED] an address I stopped using and an ISP I stopped using over two years ago, it still works now though. -- Best regards,Tony. _ Message composed on 15/12/2004 at 08:55 UTC 2004 - AWB Using The Bat! v3.0.2.10 on Windows XP 5. 1 Build 2600 PGP Key http://www.theboomclan.com/pgp.txt smime.p7s Description: S/MIME Cryptographic Signature Current version is 3.0.1.33 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

Errr.. in other words, sometimes I am looking a folder that is normally using my Thread by Ref Global view and I want to view threads by subject *temporarily*. If I invoke threading by subject using Alt+2 (same as View|View Threads By.. Subject) then that affects *all* my folders. Why is that? You change the view mode. This change affects all folders using that view mode or in the case of a global view mode all folders. I guess a better question would be what is the difference between the View|View Threads By... option and the View|Global View... options? The first lets you change the view mode you are currently using by changing the threading model. The second lets you switch to a different global view mode or none at all. How do I quickly change the view/threading of one folder without affecting other folders? In the folder properties choose folder specific settings. The more practial approach would be to just reverse your change to the view mode after you are finished, though. Thanks for you help. My backup is through a shell script that compresses TB's mail folders.
