Re: Reinstalled v2.04.7, lost all my accounts and folders
Hello Thomas, M Again, this is not necessary if he has all the account and folder M structure on disk. When creating 'new' accounts with existing names, TB M recognised and uses the whole folder structure for the account and all M the settings, including filters, QTs, etc. OK, I seem to remember that TB would not check whether these files already exist, but only create new (empty) ones. I didn't try now, I may be mistaken. It works as I say, I've done it umpteen zillion times. -- Best regards, Miguel A. Google Desktop/TB Plugin/Mostly Works, But....
Hi All, Been playing with the latest TB! and Google Desktop Search Plug-in (1.0.0.14). For the most part it works great, but it just hangs on some folders and I have to exit, uncheck that folder and restart the index again. Can't seem to figure out what is hanging it and wonder if someone else has tackled this (a quick search here and elsewhere didn't bring anything up though). 1) Copied messages to a new Folder and deleted to old one. 2) Deleted my TB index file and forced it to rebuild 3) Deleted Google and its files and forced those to rebuild 4) Run TB Maintenance a couple of times. 5) Defragged my HD I've tried steps one and two with a couple of the folders where it hangs. Still no go. No common features either, some have a lot, some a few. I'm sure I'm missing that one bad message, but any help in identifying it or whatever the real issue is appreciated -- Andrew Using The Bat! 3.62.14 On Windows XP, 5.1 Build: 2600 Families is where our nation finds hope, where wings take dream. --George Walker Bush, LaCrosse, Wis., Oct. 18, 2000 Current version is 3.62.14 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

But what I'm using is PGP/MIME that means that the signature is added as an attachment not as an add-on to the text. I prefer PGP/MIME to inline signing, because it makes the body less cluttered. Depends a bit on your contact though. Not all mail clients support PGP/MIME, so when your contact uses Outlook, or Outlook Express then PGP/MIME is a big no. I'm using PGP mostly around these lists and TB supports it just fine, and with %PGPMIME and %NOPGPMIME you can force the behaviour in templates. In the editor you can set it on and off on an individual base via: Privacy - PGP/MIME And as general option you can set it from the main menu with: Tools - Privacy - OpenPGP options - Email - Use PGP/MIME RD Rölf ?? How do I merge two message bases?
Hi, I finally received the recovered hard drive data from my failed hard drive from the data recovery service. The drive with the recovered data is mounted in an external hard drive case and the data is there, but now do I merge it with the data that I have on the new drive on my notebook? The import function only has options where the other data has already been exported, and the synchronise function needs to have the data on a functioning system. I would prefer to be able to just copy or bring in the data from the recovered data files, but if this is not going to be possible, I do have The Bat! installed on a spare Win98 system. Do get this message base onto that computer, would it simply be a matter of copying the relevant recovered data files over to it and then doing a synchronise? Are there any other utilities that can help out here? Thanks. -- Regards, Ian A.
