I too use Mailwasher and I also use the Dispatcher in The Bat!. You
might want to check this setting.

Go to the Account Properties. Under Mail Management, see the box
titled Mail Dispatcher. Make sure that the setting Show all messages
left on server. What may have happened is that the message is
considered as having been read and without this setting only unread
 messages are shown.

Thanks - I tried this but no success.

That's a great explanation - thanks very much for that :-) It seems
to be able to let you customise the toolbar too (that's the
'standard' entry under 'main form' I think - it doesn't seem
possible to change the actual toolbar icons though, only the entries
listed on the toolbar, which is a shame). It's funny - customising

You can change the icons on the main toolbar. Just select the one you
want to change and select Change Image.

Hi Stuart,

Thanks for that. Do you know if there is any way to add your own icons to the
list that comes up when you click the change image button?

yeah, sometimes it's better to leave dreams in peace. :)

Hi Vitalie,

That's pretty true actually. It's odd - when I first started using v3 of TB!
(after upgrading from v2), I thought to myself that whoever at RitLabs had
designed the new toolbar must have been drunk when they did it. I hated it, I
couldn't tell what function the icons were meant to signify, and with no
obvious way to change them, I just had to learn that the forward button was
'that thing with the pink arrow on it' and reply was the 'one with the green
arrow'. Now however, that toolbar has grown on me. I no longer hate it with a
passion. I don't regard it as the greatest toolbar in software history by any
means, and I do still wish that the icons were more obviously related to their
functions - but I can work with it though.

Hello Robbie Margolis everyone else,

on 05-Mai-2006 at 05:53 you (Robbie Margolis) wrote:

It seems that it is impossible to correctly export files in mass from
the bat to Outlook and Eudora. This can be done one file at time with
ease, but doing 20,000 e-mails is no easy task and so far every
suggestion has failed. I tried exporting everything by selecting all
the files to *.eml to go into Outlook Express, but unfortunately after
about 500 files it timed out and the bat froze.

I just exported all messages in my TBUDL folder to .EML files without
problems (about 1400 messages). I can then mark them in Explorer and
drag them to Outlook Express, without problems either. TB certainly
looks as if it hangs for a moment, but it completed the export job just
fine.

There has to be a quality method to do this. I can't believe a program
so robust as the bat does not have this feature built in. People have
all sorts of reason for exporting and it does not seem to be an
 unreasonable expectation.

TB offers exporting to all major formats (and I beg your pardon if I
dare say that it is not a daily task to mass import/export entire
message bases from one program to another), the most important one being
the Unix mailbox format. You can't blame TB if other programs that you
want to import the messages to don't support this format.

I should expand. I know there are ways to change whole icon sets but I
am not aware of a set of collections at the moment. Changing icon sets
used to be more prevalent in Version 2.

Unix mailbox is the format you need.

I created a common filter to be triggered manually via hotkey for Read

- Export message into Unix mailbox C:\temp\export.txt
- Create a new message for [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Right click the second action and fill in the template:
